HoubHoub Cambodian Restaurant (BKK1) — Restaurant in Khan Boeng Keng Kang

We had such a great experience at Houb Houb. The space is modern and minimal with a Khmer inspired design, and the food takes Cambodian classics like lok lak, fish amok, banana blossom salad, and Khmer red curry, while keeping the flavors authentic.

We also met the manager and designer who went out of their way to make sure we felt comfortable, and the owner is genuinely lovely… even catering to dietary requests, which shows how much care goes into the dining experience.

Overall, it’s one of Phnom Penh’s new must-visit spots for modern Khmer dining. Oh and the homemade tiramisu they make for Saturday dj lunch sessions is amaaaaazing!!!

As a foreigner I really wanted to try the real taste of Cambodia, but I have always been very skeptical about the streetfood and local restaurants... until I found Houb Houb! It's clean, comfortable, has very cheap prices (but good quality), good service and the food is really tasty - I felt very safe eating here.

I am so happy that they now also serve a big variety of vegetarian dishes that are far from being boring - I can recommend trying all of them, since the price is very reasonable 😍

I especially really loved the Khmer pancake thing (forgot the name), and the fresh spring rolls with mango - but everything I tried was really good!

Also it's worth to mention, that it is possible to pay with credit card ~

I believe this is a great place to enjoy traditional Khmer cuisine.

The atmosphere inside the restaurant is very pleasant, the food is served on clean tableware, and the prices are reasonable.

I visited this place for dinner with my client, and we had a wonderful evening with good conversation and drinks.

My assistant during my business trip to Cambodia (a Cambodian national) also commented, “The food here is very delicious and definitely traditional Khmer cuisine.”

I’ve always wanted first-time visitors to Cambodia to try Khmer food, and now this restaurant has become one of the best options for me.
