The Kathmandu Kitchen — Restaurant in Khan Daun Penh

Saw this nearby our hotel and the good reviews. We went along for dinner on a Monday night and were really pleased with our meal......very authentic Indian food and we have great Indian food in Scotland so high-praise for this restaurant!. We had chicken tikka, butter chicken cummin rice, garlic nan and riata. We were asked what spice level we wanted which was great and honestly thoroughly enjoyed the food. Staff were attentive and very good at their job. The indoor wall decor looks a little bit dated but dont let that put you off as the food is great and very reasonably priced....they also sell wine by the bottle or glass...$3.50 a glass or $22 a bottle. . I think if the restaurant updated their wallpaper it would make a difference to first impressions. But we will go back as it was great and recommend you do to if you like authentic...

One of the best Indian and Nepalese restaurants in Phnom Penh, and personally, this is the best Indian restaurant I've ever tried. They have Thali (Chicken and Vegetables), and some Indian restaurants I tried do not have Thali sets.

I've come to Kathmandu 3 times and tried some foods. Its food's taste and flavors are not as strong as other Indian restaurants and are similar to Indian foods in Myanmar. If you're from Myanmar, or you like Indian foods from Myanmar. Kathmandu is the right place. The place is not very big and very nicely decorated tho, it's clean, and the taste is perfect, and price is also reasonable. Service is also excellent, and they will welcome you with welcome snacks.

We traveled in cambodia for 7 days but couldn't find good vegetarian food and even more rare was good Indian food. So, imagine my surprise when I found this superbly rated Nepali restaurant which had so many veg options in the menu. The place is not much to look at but is very neat and tidy. Now that we have the negatives out of the way, let's get to this good part. The paneer was so soft and tasty. The roti, naan and paratha were absolutely delectable. The mango lassi was amazing. Not too sweet but not underwhelming either. To make everything 10 times better, they gave us a complimentary gulab jamun after our meal. An absolute no brainer of a restaurant. Do give this place a try...
