Great service, very fair food prices, tons of variety, and a wonderful atmosphere. And no, they did not pay me for this but hopefully I'll get a free coffee out of it.lol.

I'm a writer for a living. And I live up to the stereotype of a writer working at a coffee shop. Cabin Coffee has become one of the my two top coffee shops in all of Halifax to go to. And believe me, I've been to all of them!

Atmosphere - Very Canadian. And you feel like you're in a cabin sooo....the name makes sense. Huge, comfortable chairs and couches. And as many as one could squeeze into the space. It's not cramped at all but they couldn't accommodate say more than fifty when it comes to sitting around. Also everything is very clean and taken care of.

Staff - Wonderful! Friendly, efficient, always on top of things and willing to please. I think this says a lot about the management. If the staff are happy, it'll show. I can't tell you how many coffee shops have the terrible philosophy that the employees should fake being happy even if they are not. That doesn't seem to be the case here. Everyone is working hard and want to please every customer.

Food & Drink - I can't tell you how many times I've wanted different flavoured coffee. This is the ONLY place in the city I think exists that has it. They have everything else you'd expect in a coffee shop and it's good quality. But their sandwiches are, I'd say relatively a buck or two less than every other coffee shop in the city but without skimping on anything. My only wish is that they'd have different flavoured chips cause I'm not a plain chip person. BUT that keeps me from eating them so my love-handles thank you.

Wifi - I find the wifi is always strong. It's not crazy fast but it gets the job done.

Noise Level - I have a hearing disorder so very loud places can disturb me. The noise level here is generally great. The music isn't blaring and because there aren't a hundred people in here at a time, it's relatively good.

Conclusion - Don't come here. I want to always have a seat for me. If everyone finds out about it, it'll be too packed and I won't get my...

I was already having a horrible day with the worst cold so I decided to step in to Cabin Coffee. I heard great things and I have never been. I ordered my drink and while I was looking at the sweets the barista/server already had rang me in and didn’t even ask if I wanted to stay in. I said “oh sorry, I wanted a sweet” they replied with “ok … which one? In the most rude tone I have ever heard. I get if you’re having a hard day but so are other people. And then proceeded to ring me in again not asking if I wanted to stay while there are people sitting around me with their in house mugs and plates for their food. I felt like I was rushed out. As a server I would never treat a customer like that even on my worst days. That’s literally your job. I spoke with the manager reluctantly as I was upset. She offered me a gift card but I was on the verge of tears so I just left. I should have taken it but it wasn’t even worth it to me. Just be kind to people because you don’t know what someone is going through. I don’t think I’ll be back there again. The muffin was also hard as a brick. The latte, chefs kiss, service,...

I had the pleasure of discovering Cabin Coffee during my time in Halifax, and it was always a treat to visit. The moment you step inside, you're enveloped in a warm, cabin-like atmosphere that feels like a retreat from the city. The rustic decor, complete with a fireplace and comfy seating, makes it the perfect place to relax and unwind.

The staff are incredibly friendly, and the service is always prompt and welcoming. Their coffee, sourced from local roasters, is consistently delicious, and their baked goods are a treat. The cinnamon rolls are a must-try!

What truly sets Cabin Coffee apart is its cozy vibe and excellent service. Whether you're grabbing a quick breakfast or settling in for a study session, the atmosphere ensures a wonderful experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a charming spot to enjoy a great cup of coffee in a...

Cabin Coffee is hands down the best café in the area! From the delicious food to the cozy atmosphere, everything about this place is fantastic. The standout for me was their cinnamon rolls—they were absolutely incredible, possibly the best I’ve ever had! We also tried their smoothies, latte, cookie, and muffin, and everything was fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. The service was another highlight—fast, friendly, and efficient. The café itself is warm, inviting, and beautifully decorated, making it a perfect spot to relax. Plus, the prices are very reasonable for the quality you get. I discovered Cabin Coffee in September 2024 during my trip to Halifax, and I’m so glad I did—it was truly a lucky find. If you're in the area, don’t miss out on this gem!

Get your butt down here to The Cabin A nice big comfortable place with big leather chairs or small wooden tables, there is a constant flow in takeaways and fewer sit and relax folks. The brewed coffee gets a 7/10, the lattes a 10/10 , and the melt in your mouth cinnamon buns a serious 11/10, all with a relax factor of 12/10. Prices are in the Justinflation stratosphere, but we still have to escape occasionally, even when it's our $ yet again - think $6000/nite hotel room to satisfy a narcissistic ego that would kill you if you jumped down to his ego. Let's hope wonderful little places like this don't go down the drain and take the important yet modest jobs with it. Definitely would return!
