I stopped by Freeman's as it was next to my hotel and I needed a meal after the drive from Fredericton. The pizza was great, very nostalgic. While the crust was somewhat unique to what I'm used to, it was crispy and one of my favourites. The nostalgia came in through the sauce. It tasted like what I remember Pizza Hut tasting like 25 years ago, but overall much better as the crust wasn't soaked in grease. Also having the option to double your glass of wine for 2.99 was great and so I ordered their house red which could have used a bit more depth of flavour, but it was still wonderful after a long drive. The donair taquitos though were just alright. I would have preferred a better meat:cheese. The cheese overpowered the donair meat. I did like the shell though. The server was nice, but could have been a bit more attentive. The atmosphere and design of the place was also nice and while I didn't participate, they do have a trivia night which I'm always a fan of. I'll be going back to try other items next time as their menu has a lot of options.

Cannot speak to atmosphere as we had delivery. Service, I used the online ordering which the website and process is well done and better than many others. Until you've finalized the order. All you get is a success message. Most places send an email confirmation and let you know when to expect it. Often they text you too. Here, Radio silence. They need to communicate. The ordering process says it might take a while but it didn't, and so I had to be called by the delivery guy to come down to the lobby. Food, my wife was happy with her order but having a chipotle mayo for sweet potato fries should be a standard everywhere. FYI tourists, in Halifax 9.5/10 places serve curry mayo. The appetizer was good. Zero complaints on the mushroom caps. I'm actually estatic whenever a restaurant has them. It's VERY rare. My fish, it was a raw batter mess, see pic. I had to dig the fish out and scrape the raw batter off. Everything came delivered hot too. So that's a plus. I might order again but I'll steer clear of the battered fish forever.

The cleanest pub in all of Halifax! We were astonished at how spotless the place was, especially compared to their Downtown location. They have many affordable beers and ciders on tap. Freeman’s menu also has a good variety of quality pizzas that doesn’t leave you feeling greasy after eating it, and the quality of ingredients is a far cry above other pizzerias in the area. The service was immaculate and very speedy, their server Sim overhead that it was one of our birthdays and even went above and beyond to give us a coupon for a free pizza for our next visit. I think my group found our go-to bar after yesterday :)

I’ve been to this particular location of Freeman’s multiple times and for good reason: it never disappoints. The food is always top notch, the service is also great. The place is definitely a bit tight in terms of space. Their other branches might be better for larger gatherings but it is fine for a casual time with friends etc. On my most recent visit we ordered a barbecue chicken pizza with their garlic Cheese bread. Both of them were absolutely fantastic. I honestly couldn’t ask for more. Highly recommend if you’re looking for some great pizza, drinks and a nice time out.

Visited twice during our recent trip to Halifax. The first visit was for breakfast. The server was attentive and kind, and the food was great in both flavour and value. Our second visit was in the evening, after a long day working with family. To our surprise and delight, they had live music! It was the first such experience we had in almost 2 years. The musician was incredible, playing an eclectic variety of songs. It was the perfect accompaniment to an evening of exceptional local beer and amazing pizza! We will most certainly be back. Thank you Freeman's!
