Old Irish pub with lots of seating. Food is not too expensive and quite good ! Also a fun atmosphere to drink at in the evenings. If you like laid back bar to hang out and drink with friends this is a good place to go. Plus the staff is SUPER friendly. Very easy to talk to and like to actually have a conversation with you.

A decade or more ago, Maxwell’s Plum was the place to go for its impressive collection of beers, ciders, etc. but it has slipped with so many other options popping up over the last couple years. It’s still a good spot with friendly staff and decent options.

In response to the owner's request for more information. Sure, we were there on April 19th from maybe 8-9:30/10pm. Sitting in one of the tables in between the windows and the stairs. I don't remember our server's name unfortunately, but I assume she wasn't the one making drinks and she was great. I didn't bring it up to her at the time because honestly I didn't want (and shouldn't have to) make that kind of complaint when I'm having a night out, and just trying to enjoy myself. If you have any more questions feel free to reach out to me and I would be happy to answer them.

My boyfriend and I are from out of town and decided to stop in to Maxwell's Plum prior to dinner out to catch some playoff hockey.

I'll start off by saying that I am not a drinker. I'm actually a big 'ole lightweight and often feel tipsy turvy immediately after one drink. But I was on vacation so I figured what the heck, I'll have a few.

However despite paying $7.50 for my drinks, and various alcohols being listed as ingredients, I'm fairly confident that I didn't get any alcohol in my cocktails. I (obviously naievely) thought that the taste was just masked by pineapple juice or the other mixes... it wasn't until my third when I still felt absolutely fine that I thought "hey... I should maybe be feeling a little bit of something after this many drinks". I was 100% sober. I even handed my drink to some more seasoned drinkers I was with and they tasted zero alcohol.

I hate that I had this experience here, because the atmosphere and service were absolutely great. But I left feeling absolutely totally cheated, and days later it's still bothering me. I wish it could have turned out differently but because of this, I likely...

Last Night I met up with some friends at Maxwell's Plum, Unfortunately it seemed that the upper landing was the preferred seating area where my friends had decided to gather. They're were no seats left in this section of the Establishment, and had gone down stairs to get my own seat. The bar staff employed there Saturday night were surprisingly very rude and short with me. Refusing to "transfer" seats from section to section. I had simply explained my situation and asked for a place to sit, whether another set comes form the back, etc. Both Employees refused to look at me, and just kept shaking their head, and stated they didn't care whether I was sitting on the floor or stood up, but I wasn't getting a chair. Luckily other patrons who sat at another table across the room had gone up to the bar to pay for their food and drinks, and assured me that they were leaving, and I could use one of their chairs. I took advantage of the other patrons generosity to be seated to finish my original drink I had ordered before this whole ordeal, and convinced my group of friends to leave. The level of professionalism and hospitality was simply disgusting if even present. I know that there was nothing special about this establishment, and due to the services or lack their of being provided, I have no reason to ever return. Honestly still in dis-belief over the treatment of a...
