Last week I was at the Square One location and was excited about my order seeing as when I had Potato Corner for the first time the week prior, I had to come back and try other flavors!!

This time around I wanted to place a larger order so that I could take it home to my family so I ordered 2 orders of Tera and 2 orders of Mega only to be told when my order was ready that they don't have any bags... If you've been there before you know that they usually put everyone's order in a brown paper bag. I told the person that was prepping my order that if they ran out of paper bags, they should be letting their cashier know to let customers know that way customers are aware that they will have to carry their food items out and so she apologized.

At this point all I was worried about was how I plan on carrying this big order in my hands let alone drive home with it and so I looked over, saw a garbage bin with a clear garbage bag and I asked her if I could have a clear bag that way I could take it home and not have to worry about it spilling in my car. She walked away, went into the back and brought someone else out.

I then spoke to someone else she apologized that they ran out of bags and I repeated everything I said to the worker prepping my order to her. She then said, “Oh the cashier didn’t tell you we didn’t have any bags?” and I said no. And I told her that if they don’t have bags that I would be okay using the clear bag they use for the garbage bins and use that to carry my food; she showed me how big it was and I told her that it was fine.

She then walked around a few times around the food prep area, kitchen looking for something to put my order in thinking maybe she would look for a box which I appreciated; next thing you know she grabs my Tera order to the back and brings it back out IN THEIR BROWN PAPER BAG….grabs my next Tera order, and my last two Mega orders and does the same thing…. My friend and I were shocked!!!

Maybe they wanted to promote their colorful packaging and have people walk around eating their food so that other people could see and ask where they got their food from but there was no reason to lie to your customers. The food is great, I do recommend Sour Cream and Onion and Cheese as those are my favorites but double, triple check that they have bags first and even after because they likely do have them and keep them...

A staple in my childhood, Potato Corner brings a different and unique twist to their fries. Compared to the usual McDonald's shoestring fries here that most people are only accustomed to, here in Potato Corner, they approach a bolder approach by giving people different new flavors to try out, giving them a unique and new experience. I myself always come back for the sour cream and cheese. Maybe it's not for everyone who has an aversion to change, but they always deliver on their quality and it's always appreciated when food isn't bland and has real taste.

Service is typical in a big city like Mississauga. When it's a place people want to try out, there's always a line but they are quick to take your order. As all orders are done on the spot, food doesn't get handed right away, instead they combine the flavors you've chosen and the fries together in front of you. When there are a more people, the order takes longer to make, which should be obvious.

As they are only a pop up and the location is inside the food court, there's not much to talk about the area. It's a typical kitchen with their servers working. Tables are outside at...

I am fuming thinking about my experience with the personnel. We are from a small city, approximately 2hrs from GTA. We went to square one mall just to buy potato corner fries as what my daughter has been requesting for years. It has been 6yrs since her last time eating their fries. I went to this lady, asked her how do I order, because I never visited/ ordered from their food chain before. It was always my mom or my daughter’s auntie. She then directed me to the counter. I told her if I can have mega, she said “ok”.. a little pause, so I thought she’s waiting for something. So I asked what flavor is this while pointing at the picture. Adding, I don’t know how to actually order. The nerve of this lady! She answered “I don’t know.” Since she gave me the attitude, I told my daughter to talk to her and order it herself (13y.o). Or else I am leaving. I paid for 2 mega cheese flavored, no tip. I informed this lady that she made me so upset. I made her aware that I am not happy with this experience. Her service affected the food because I ended up not eating it because it made me remember how she...

This spot is fairly new at Square One. They basically serve fries with a powder seasoning of your choice. Their fries aren't bad and you have 3 size options: mega, giga, and terra (this option comes with 2 flavours of your pick). You can also choose whether you want curly or waffle fries too! We got waffle fries in the mega size covered in their bbq flavour. Pretty good and they shake the fries in the powder really well so you get more than a tiny sprinkling. The price for the smallest size was around 8 dollars after tax which is fair for what you get. Since it's still new in this food court, you can expect wait times. Overall, great spot to get fries with a little more flavour 😛 worth paying a visit!
