I understand the importance of addressing problematic behavior like racism in restaurants. It's crucial to hold businesses accountable and promote inclusivity and respect for all customers. Still, I have to write this review because of the male staff at "Pezzateria - Mont Tremblent village" with whom we had such a bad (racist) experience. He was not even ready to allow me to feed my kid inside the restaurant just because I bought a small piece of bread with chocolate on it from outside and their policy is "no outside food allowed". I respected their policy and requested that it be for my kid(toddler) and not for us. He didn't show even humanity and kindness to understand what I was trying to request for. He replied very bluntly that if you fed him with outside food he would kick us all out. During this moment, I controlled myself and went inside and took my kid out in front of the main door where he was standing just to let him know that all I wanted was to feed my kid with us, and due to him I could not do so. After my other friends knew about that he passed the racist comment "He will kick us all out" to all of us. We all had a verbal argument with that male staff who identified himself as the Manager of that Pizzateria - Restaurant Mont Tremblant QC. We all were so calm and just wanted to make him understand that he couldn't say such a comment on the customer. He called his bouncer on us and was using abusive language. No one should ever be treated with disrespect or shouted at, especially when I am simply expressing my honest opinions. It's incredibly frustrating when management fails to listen to their customers and dismisses their valid concerns.
To be served an incredibly dry pizza and then be denied the opportunity to share my feedback is just unacceptable. Customers deserve better, and it's essential for the management to wake up and realize the impact their actions have on their guests' experiences.
It's even more upsetting that my friend, who is Italian and likely knows a thing or two about authentic pizza, was also met with such hostility.
Instead of embracing feedback and learning from it, the manager chose to react defensively, which only adds to the disappointment and frustration.
A restaurant should be a place of enjoyment and satisfaction, not a source of stress and dissatisfaction.
