Went there for dinner for the first time on a Sunday with a reservation. When we came in it’s like a zoo. Nobody is at the helm. We just stood there looking for someone to check us in. Suddenly someone came out of the kitchen and showed us to a table.

The decor is magical. Can’t say enough about the atmosphere. Service was so so.

We asked if we could have something off nenu, pasta carbonara. The waiter said sure but let me ask the cook. I had to ask twice bc he had forgotten.

We ordered as well 2 caeser salads. Takes forever to be served with 1 large group and nobody else but us in the restaurant.

Salad, my husband liked, me I thought it was very generic. Just ok. No lard or bacon, no parmesan slices etc.

I eat it. Then came the Pasta carbonara. I had asked for spaghetti and received some flat noodles. They were cold and the sauce was like a thin lake in our plates. I returned mine. My husband ate them anyway ( I’m the picky one.) when you pay $38 a pasta plate, it better be good.

His noodles were busy trying not to drown. The sauce had not been reduced properly. My plate came back and it was much better. You can compare with my video and pictures.

When I stopped eating I asked the man taking back the plate to bring mine home. He said « of course ». Never saw that pasta again!

I asked for gelato. The waiter said yes . I picked raspberries. I received some raspberries granita full of ice pieces. My husband ordered key lime pie, he left part of it. He said it tasted artificial.

We finally asked for the bill. It took FOREVER. I had to get up and asked 3 times during the meal for service.

My meal had been thrown out so they gave me another pasta instead.

Would never recommend this place to eat anything they sell. Oh yeah and to use the bathroom you have to take an elevator one floor down Not wheelchair friendly, in the expensive side. 0 parking.

Bread was boring, oil but no wine...

PLEASE AVOID THIS RESTAURANT AT ALL COSTS*

I wouldn't know where to begin as the service and the food was beyond bad. Just that you can have an idea, we left without eating our food. I will summarise in a few points:

The waiter was by far the biggest problem of all. He was extremely unfriendly, intimidating and rude. As a group of three women we felt not safe with him, as this person was extremely on the offensive and insolent.

The waiter in question was also not wearing the mask at some point which it was not acceptable given the current situation. When we asked him if he could put back on, he got on the defensive and gave us a rude answer along the lines "I can do this". Oddly enough, he was waring it after just like the rest of waiters.

FOOD was TERRIBLE. I ordered a "lamb ragout" and no jokes, this thing had literally 4 little tiny pieces of lamb and looked preheated out of microwave. My friends food was as bad too, it had overcooked pasta which was sticky with a tomato sauce that looked like it came out of can. All in all, food was disgusting, to the point we didn't event ate it.

Plates were also dirty and fatty. Just the thought of it again makes me want to gag.

We complained about the food and left without eating.

The waiter threw the bills to us in such disgraceful manner.

The other servers and what we believe was the owner tried to make up for the situation. Unfortunately, it was too late as the damage was already done.

END.

I cannot recommend this place at all. It has been my worst restaurant experience in Mtl. I sincerely do not wish it upon anyone to have such a bad experience.

PLEASE do not got to this place. It is a waste of money and time. Check the reviews on other websites, they all say the same, they cannot...

Yesterday evening we visited this place as a couple for a romantic dinner. A great ambience BUT We managed to get our starters after a long wait. Ordered lasagna and gnocchi and had to wait for a considerable time. Meanwhile another couple sat next to us and ordered. So after a while some food arrived and the waitress stopped in front of our table with two dishes, since she was waiting and we were also waiting I asked her if she had a lasagna and gnocchi, she said yes and left those on our table and left. Meanwhile my wife was using washroom so I waited for her. Funny thing is those dishes were not for us?! With some disappointment those were taken away and after waiting for another 5-10 minutes we finally got our food. Gnocchi wasn’t cooked properly but sauce was ok and Lasagna was also undercooked on the edges with ok sauce. With a bottle of Primo frescobaldi we paid for 200 Cad for this miserable dinner and left. So this place is overly priced and exaggerated restaurant with under qualified staff for managing an Italian restaurant. I don’t think we will ever go back to this place unless we are drunk and we don’t have any other option and all the Mc Donald’s are closed for some reason. Save your money and time and stay away from this place. Note: I had just added the photo of the food taken away from us. They look good but that’s all;...

Honestly , I have wanted to try this place for a while for its outdoor courtyard dining. As you enter the building and arrive at the Helm , no one is there to greet you . It could use a bit more charm . The courtyard is super cute and you expect that you are about to discover a hidden gem and most importantly eat an unforgettable meal . Before I begin , I want to mention that the service was exceptional. A lot of attention was given to our particular changes and requests in our order and this is something I greatly appreciate . Now the food was just ok . That part definitely needs to be worked on . It doesn’t take much more to design flavors up a couple of notches. And please , if you talk about having fresh pasta , use more semolina . The pasta was not flavorful nor great quality . As for the sauces , definitely missing some Italian love , especially at the price point you’re charging for those dishes . My daughter who adores lamb , would not eat her dish . You are in a great location and have the potential to do more . Glad I tried it but won’t be returning . The thing that made me happy was being with my children on my birthday and their generosity.
