I used to frequent this restaurant in Old Port quite often for a long time, and it used to be my favorite spot. I adored their pizzas as they were of excellent quality and absolutely delicious. However, on my recent visit, my experience was utterly disappointing. The quality of the pizza has significantly decreased, and it tasted quite sour this time. While the service was never exceptional, it was decent in the past. However, during my last visit, our server got our order wrong. When the food was brought to us, we informed them that it was not what we ordered. After a while, the waitress returned with the same pizza, insisting that it was our order. Despite their mistake, they did not take any corrective action. When we mentioned that we had ordered an extra-large size, the waitress refused to acknowledge it and instead suggested adding another large pizza to our order, claiming that the other size would be too big for us. After a long wait and growing frustration from hunger, we reluctantly agreed, and they served us the same cold pizza that had been brought out before and took another order. The second pizza arrived about 30 minutes later, but at that point, we were too frustrated and no longer had an appetite. We took a few bites and ended up leaving. The cleanliness of the restaurant was just okay, but the bathrooms were extremely dirty.

Came here on a summer night and they had the heaters on. I imagine that helps keep their patio open in the winter. We ordered the Marco Pollo and Québécoise The Marco Pollo pizza was not very evenly cut but still delicious and our preferred choice out of the two. One corner was very small. The chunks of toppings on the Québécoise were large and not very well distributed. They offered and brought us chili oil. We had to shake it or sacrificially tip it and pour top oil before chili flakes came out. It was not spicy and suspected that they just refill the oil and leave the same old flakes inside. Just fine of you enjoy a little extra oil dip for your crust/pizza. We ordered a bottle of Chianti which came to the table in ice. The server confirmed it was a red wine when he took our order. We think he was confused. He also struggled to open the bottle and we observed similarly as he served other tables. Overall service across the board was very polite/nice but seemingly very green. Prompt enough too. Would come again for convenience of the area, but would not go out of the way for.

Other than the hostess being accommodating when we changed our minds about being outside that is where the positives end. I chose to only have water. After asking several times for water refill, never got it. I ordered the Smoked Meat as it is listed as coming from Schwartz’s. The meat is not sliced, but is more bits and pieces. Then it was served on a ciabatta bread and not rye. To boot, the pickle that is advertised on the menu is a pickle slice in the sandwich. Not how it is meant to be done. There was also barely any meat in the sandwich. Beyond the sandwich, the service was poor. Our server walked by us at least a half dozen times and never checked in. They always walked by without asking how the meal was going or to see if we needed anything else. We asked for ketchup for our fries, was brought an empty bottle. Did I mention the lack of water refills?

Stopped for a meal with my Dad on a visit to the city after a day at the old port. Very disappointing. Our table was forgotten for an hour after ordering, despite asking multiple waiters and being told many times it was coming. The waitress didn't actually put the order in finally. She never came by again in all that time. No drink offers after the first. Plenty of servers standing around talking at the same time. It wasn't a bit before 4 pm when we arrived and after 5:30 when we left. Multiple tables around as arrived, ate, and left in the meantime with none of the waiters seeming to care about us.

The food was very disappointing for the price. My Dad got the mussels and a full quarter of them weren't opened and edible. My wife got a salad, and it was just large chopped tomatoes, cucumbers, and big leaves of lettuce with a handful of feta. She was looking forward to the olives and they forgot the olives.

My son got a hamburger with poutine, and they brought out fries only, so the whole meal got sent back for over 5 minutes to add curds and sauce. I had the same, and they also forgot to add the curds and sauce, but I didn't want to wait even longer for my meal. My burger wasn't fully cooked. Restaurants aren't allowed to serve burgers undercooked here, but I didn't want to wait another hour. My youngest got a pizza, which he said was great. It was just thing after thing with a total lack of care and respect for us as customers.

In the end, they gave a 15% discount for what was an horrible experience. The whole time all of the wait staff were just standing around talking within view and being dismissive of us trying to get service. Nobody checked on our order or table at all. I feel like if we didn't hound our original server who disappeared to find out what happened we would still be there now. We asked at least 3 other servers who just said they were sure it was coming and then ignored us.

It put a real downer on what was an otherwise wonderful trip. Maybe it's our fault for expecting a good experience in this area. I would encourage everyone to avoid this place like the plague, and I feel like whoever the manager was needs to re-evaluate the way they manage things. I'm still upset the...

Great place! Delicious food, amazing service and very friendly staff especially our server Mariam. I recently had the pleasure of dining at Comptoir 400 with my family, which includes 2 years old baby, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm, inviting atmosphere that perfectly captured the essence of an authentic Italian eatery.

Our server, Mariam, was extraordinary. She welcomed us with a friendly smile and provided top-notch service throughout our meal. She would wave and play with our kid and make him smile and laugh. Her extensive knowledge of the menu and her thoughtful recommendations made our dining experience even more enjoyable. Mariam was attentive, ensuring that our glasses were never empty and that we had everything we needed without being intrusive.

The food was absolutely delicious, especially the pizza and crepe. Each bite was bursting with flavor, and the crust was perfectly crisp. It was clear that the ingredients were fresh and of high quality. The restaurant also boasts an impressive selection of wine and beer, which complemented our meal perfectly. Mariam’s suggestions on pairing drinks with our food were spot on and added an extra layer of enjoyment to our dinner.

Mariam’s exceptional service truly stood out. She went above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful experience, paying attention to every detail and making us feel like valued guests. Her genuine care and professionalism were evident and greatly appreciated.

In summary, this resto offers delectable pizza, a fantastic selection of wines and beers, and outstanding service. If you’re looking for a place to enjoy a memorable Italian meal in great location in historic Montreal old part of the city , this is the spot. A heartfelt thank you to Mariam and the entire team for a fantastic evening. We can’t wait to return!! See you in the fall...

Terrible Experience We wish there is a minus score to give to this place but the one star is the minimum. We were a couple and visited the place late afternoon for a coffee and desert on May 21st. We have waited for over 15 minutes for the hostess to seat us who finall showed up and after she went and researched the place, she returned and lead us to a table at the 2nd deck claiming that the 2nd deck is the place for a coffee and desert, after been seated in a corner at a dirty imbalanced table, next to a loud couple, who were very well served their dinner by the way, and after 15 minutes waiting to order our coffee and desert, the new waiteress told us that we are in the wrong place and that was dedicated only for dinner and that we need to move to the upper deck where we can have our coffee and desert. We moved to the upper deck where the upper deck waiteress roamed around then told us that was not the place for a coffee and desert and that we need to move down to the first deck. Going back to the first deck we were told that was not the deck for a coffee and desert and that there had not been any table available and we had to go back to the 2nd deck. Very frustrated, We have asked for the manager who was not there at the time ... probably she was having her coffee and desert in another restaurant! Eventually we have left and had our coffee and dessert in another place. Never been treated that way in arogance and carelessness before. We are at our 60s and we expected at least some respect if no service levels at least. Very disorganised, confused staff not knowing who is doing what, badly managed, Zero Customer service, poor standards and disrespectful. Feels like discriminated. We would definitely never recommend this place for...
