It’s a pretty place and really really loud place. Why not to go there : 1) Do Not go there if you want to sit down and have a chat with your crew you won’t be able to hear one another. 2) the service was the worst. I went to complain and the server said « don’t cry ». However the manager try to maintain the situation. 3) cocktails are overpriced and overdiluted. 4) ordered straight tequila shots which tasted like water.. 5) extremely loud ambiance Why do go there : 1) young crowd 2) great music 3) perfect past 12 if you wanna dance there is dance floor in the basement Overall : would not recommend, there are many Much better places to party in Montreal. If you do go , I want to hear about your experience!

We went here for a birthday dinner while in town. I ordered the crab cakes (2), and a side of fries. The food came pretty fast and was very tasty. The service was good as well. The drinks are pretty standard but the overall ambience sets the night off right. I was told this place turns into upscale venu at night with an exotic lounge type vibe, unfortunately we already had reservations else but next time I'll definitely check it out. Side note, the bathroom area downstairs looks pretty dope, like a large log cabin.

Went for a late dinner to celebrate my friend’s bachelorette party. Overall the food is good. Salmon tartar was good but missed seasoning, filet minion was excellent and the sauce was delicious. Group pricing was reasonable. Vegan options as well. They also let us bring our own cake! would definitely recommend since it’s more of a supper club vibe.

Joverse is the worst restaurant I have ever been to! If I could rate them a negative star I would! First of all, they charge you for coat check. This isn't a club....it's a restaurant. We had a reservation for 9pm. We didn't get seated til 10:15pm. They weren't even apologetic for the long delay. Instead they refused to hurry along the group before us. Next...while standing around waiting, I order a glass of wine and when it arrived the glass wasn't even half full! Now this isn't the first time I've order wine! Usually you do get 3 quarters to a full glass. Finally they sat us but it took forever for the waitress to take our orders. We didn't end up eating until past 11pm and the food wasn't that great. It was quite mediocre and they never gave us the chance to order dessert! As soon as we finished our main dish, the staff was clearing our table at the speed of lightning and passing out the bills. No problem...I wanted to get outta there as soon as possible. The only reason we stayed was because it was for a birthday dinner. So anyway, I pay the waitress for my crappy meal and she says to me, "You didn't tip" which I responded "I know!" FYI people...you tip for service and in this case, there was none! I will never go back to Joverse and I will share my experience with anyone who...

The experience was quite horrendous. We arrived for a dinner party with reservations at 9 and only received the food at around 11:10 which would have been made a tad more acceptable if I didn't have my seat torn from under me a second after they brought us our dessert. We asked if it were possible to at least swallow our donuts before obliterating our eating area and bringing the bill, but they explained that they had no choice but to remove our seating area and proceeded to tuck away all our seats and clear the table as if we weren't all about to pay a quite pricey meal. The cocktails were also poured in glasses the size of a thimble (a slight exaggeration). The one star is for the quality of food, but honestly what's the point of good food if we have to swallow it whole like a boa constrictor. If I wanted to eat my food in a rush, we could've gone to a fast food restaurant and if they don't want to allow people to have a proper sit down meal they shouldn't advertise the place as anything more than a club or bar. Also, the way we had to exit the place was through some odd passageway in the back which wasn't that big of a deal...but...

Joverse is the kind of place Montreal always lacked!

Located in the beautiful Old Montreal, the restaurant has some of the best tapas style food i have had in the city. The sliders are delicious and the beef tartar can rival any top restaurants around the world.

The staff is excellent!! I don't remember seeing a better staff in a bar/restaurant in Montreal. They are friendly and welcoming, yet very respectful. The restaurant upstairs has a great ambiance and good music is always on the menu! Nowhere in Montreal you will see better music playing while you enjoy their delicious tapas and specials of the day.

And yes... if you go downstairs, Red Room, turns into the "happening" house music spot. A small electric room with a capacity of 50-70 people with a fantastic bar and the best local dj talents on the weekends.

I celebrated NYE 2014 at Joverse and it was a night to remember! You can always count on this place for...
