Fantastic experience! We went for the ridiculous entree, the tomahawk for $106 that serves 2 people, 35 oz, takes 40 minutes to prepare. The first 10 minutes it sits to get to room temperature before they start handling it.
I can see how some had issues with the server. Our initial sever I wasn't that impressed with. She seemed unsure of the menu and her recommendations made me uninterested in the menu. When I asked about the tomahawk that's when things get better. She asked this gentleman, who I think was the manager, to help us. He was very informative and gave reassurances on their quality. He paid attention to the details and noted I was a picture taker. They offered to allow me a quick picture of the steak on the grill! Fantastic. The chef was very friendly as was the rest of the kitchen staff in the back. Unfortunately I didn't get any of their names (I felt weird asking). The octopus is at a great price point and was delicious as well.
I was happy with the details. The chef offered to slice up the rest of the steak for us when we packed it to make it easier to eat later. The bread on the side with olive oil was of good quality.
This can be a fantastic restaurant, but service matters. If you feel you might not be getting the best service I'd suggest talking to the manager. I feel like he will correct it. (Or serve you himself which...
Read moreWe were having dinner at Quattro tonight because my boyfreund cannot eat gluten. The gnocchi with tomato sauce could be ordered gluten free. I had the 2 courses dinner with lentil soup and two sorts of pasta (spaghetti with tomato sauce and ricotta filled pasta with pesto). It took quite some time until our food was served. The soup was really good and also big, fresh baguette was offered. The pasta was homemade, the filled one only luke warm, but the taste was good. The gluten free gnocchi were good, but the portion was really small, so my boyfriend was still hungry. Also there was no gluten free bread offered (as other reviews described). When we gave feedback about the portion, the waiter said he would tell the kitchen. When we got the bill, I added to my feedback that we were disappointed because the portion was small even though you pay 4 CAD extra. The waiter now was pretty annoyed and said that it was not his fault and they always prepare 150 g gnocchi. That surprised us, because the table next to us was served normal gnocchi, too. And the lady took the rest of her dish at home. When we came back to the hotel, both of us had stomach issues and cramps. Maybe it was the tomato sauce we both had. Really...
Read moreMy husband and I are currently in Montreal, visiting our daughter. During our stay, we decided to make dinner reservations at the renowned restaurant, Quattro.
As someone who suffers from Celiac disease, my daughter took the initiative to contact the restaurant in advance to ensure they could accommodate gluten-free (GF) options. The person she spoke to reassured her that 95% of their menu was GF.
Upon our arrival, we were warmly greeted by the owner, who promptly escorted us to our seats. She immediately inquired about any dietary restrictions we might have. We informed her of my Celiac condition, and she kindly shared a personal anecdote about her own daughter, who is also Celiac. It was comforting to know that the owner's daughter is married to the restaurant's Chef. I cannot speak highly enough of our experience at Quattro. The ambiance was delightful, the staff were exceptionally gracious, and the food was truly outstanding. Whether you have dietary restrictions or not, I wholeheartedly recommend Quattro to anyone seeking an exceptional dining experience. The owners extend a warm welcome to all, making you feel as though you are entering...
