My experience with this store is only use of courier services I utilized on behalf of another party who was unable to get here. This shop is a location for the courier service LBC. I visited in July with important paperwork that a colleague needed sent overseas. Although the shop owners seem honest, I am either wrong about this, or they are incompetent. I say this because they took the paperwork, charged $75, did not provide a tracking number (my first mistake of being polite), and the receipt was for the store without any indication of services through LBC. The paperwork never arrived, so it needed to be sent though another courier and at a different, more reliable location. I shared my poor experience with this other courier, and he did not think that $75 was the going rate for the service that he charged only $25, gave a printout with tracking, and inserted into a courier pouch. Unfortunately, LBC can't do anything about the original and AWOL order as I am unable to provide a tracking number....can't provide one if not given one. I post this to save anyone the inconvenience and potential loss of money or important documents using J & B for LBC services due to either theft or stupidity. The food and the shop items may be fine,...
Read moreThe food was disappointing. Ordered crispy pata but not crispy at all and really small. The skin was chewy, and meat was dark and looked like was from their old stock. I asked the young lady who was the designated cook abt it, she said, may be because it was frozen for some time. It’s price of 20 dollars, definitely, was not worth it. The plastic utensils and scissors that were given to us, didnt help either to cut through the ‘not so crispy’ pata. The lumpiang shanghai was soggy as well. Also ordered longsilog combo for 19.99, with 3 pcs longanisa, cup of rice, small cup of soup and atsara that barely had papaya in it , mostly pickle sauce. It was just okay. Then again, nothing special abt it.
One of the cooks that was there that day informed me that the main cook was off. Probably, that explained why the dishes served were not up to par. I paid $63, yet my filipino food cravings at that time, was not satisfied, and left the resto still hungry.
The dishes on the menu were not that cheap In prices, and yet food served were not of good quality. Im not recommending...
Read moreTruly delicious and authentic Filipino food!! A true hidden gem and a must visit when in Niagara! This place is a convenience store at the front - they sell an assortment of spices, snacks and frozen meat and desserts at reasonable prices. At the back, they’re a restaurant.
We had their lunch combos for $11.99 each. The combo includes rice (with a hint of fried garlic, which makes it so delicious!), cucumber and a choice of meat. We had their sisig (minced crunchy pork with egg), which is a popular dish in the Philippines, and Lechon (crispy BBQ pork belly). We got 10 spring rolls (lumpia) for $10.99, it had pork and veggies - very crispy and went well with the dip. We loved how all the dishes were made to order - everything was fresh, portions were filling and the service was great! They will go through the whole menu with you and explain every dish! They’re very friendly and want to share their passion for Filipino food with you! This place is the place to start if you’ve never tried Filipino food before! Very comforting, filling,...
