An awful experience with Wok’s Up. The food was supposed to be delivered an hour after the order placed. An hour and 20 minutes later I called to check and was informed that the driver had picked it up “quite a while ago” and should arrive any minute. Another 15 minutes later I called again and they said they would call the driver and check. They called me back 10 minutes later and said the driver was 6 minutes away. I could not understand how a 7 - 10 minute drive was taking more than 45 minutes. They offered to call the driver and give a discount (a whole $6 off of our almost $70 order. When the food finally arrived, there was sauce all over everything, there were no sauce packets or fortune cookies provided, and the portions were ridiculously small. The sesame chicken (pictured) had an odd flavour that I would not associate with sesame at all and was filled less than half of the container. I have never had an experience like this before and will never order from Wok’s Up again.

Over all I'm giving 4 stars. (Nov 9th/23) REAL REVIEW!! They are always super friendly to me & they give me their lunch special which is discounted. I love their general tao chicken & steamed rice... I always get a side of chicken balls too. I've been a returning customer for a few months now,... & I would say they are always consistent. Definitely a must try!! P.s. I'm really not sure what some of these people are talking about with the portion sizes, but then again I pay $3.00 more for extra chicken... I haven't had that portion issue. However I do have to wait around an hour for delivery, & I would say the spring rolls aren't the best maybe steer away from them. To "ASHLEY LOHNES", I just want to point out if you can't afford to eat out then don't. Things cost money. The food industry will not survive if they don't raise prices a lil. Hell, prices for everything have gone up incase you haven't noticed. My point is dont complain if you can't afford it.

Portion sizes are very small/stingy for the price asked, haven’t been to a Chinese restaurant that serves such small portions as you can tell in the pictures, our take out containers weren’t even half full. Was surprised when I opened the take out containers, we got mixed veggies and paid $12 for a quarter of a take out container, what a rip off. We got Sweet and sour chicken that wasn’t sweet and sour it tasted more like honey or sesame chicken; the container was about half full (pictured) and cost $15.80; again for almost a $16 menu item, I expect a FULL take out container of chicken, not half. They also tried to sneak in a $3.50 tip after I confirmed my order on their website and claimed that the app they use automatically does it… Won’t be back again, overall much better Chinese restaurants out there that won’t try to sneak a tip in/be shady and who actually gives you your money worth in food portion.

GREATEST EXPERIENCE EVER! In complete honesty (you can read our past reviews and see that we don’t mince words or say things to gain the businesses favour); my daughter and I have been looking for a good Chinese food restaurant since we moved to Oshawa in 2020, to almost no avail…we have found a Japanese restaurant that makes great food but that’s completely unrelated. Wok’s up Oshawa was an experience from the minute the owner answered my call:-) I based our order on other google reviewers comments and wasn’t steered wrong (“order the number 3 dinner!”) however he allowed me to make substitutions , add “half orders” of items from the menu and listened to every eccentricity my 8 year old requested (she loves spicy food but hates veggies etc etc). We chose to pick up our food and not only was it hot and ready for us, the owner took the time to chat with my daughter and provided all the extras like sauces and chopsticks we asked for. GREAT PORTIONS, AMAZING AND PROFESSIONAL SERVICE AND UNBEATABLE FRIENDLINESS. BYW do NOT pass up their...
