Snowy Village Pacific Ave — Restaurant in Saskatoon

New review: now that this place has changed over to Snowy Village, I have ordered another banh mi. It was still missing cilantro, the… sauce was different, and the veggies are different. Instead of an abundant amount of large refreshing crinkle cut carrot and daikon, it came with the tiny matchstick carrot and some sort of pickled onion. I can’t eat onions so it was disappointing change for me based on the onions, the different sauce, the smaller carrots, and the continuing lack of cilantro. I’m not even sure whether to call it sauce - previously when it was Frenzy it had pate which I liked. The new version didn’t seem to have pate but rather something creamy almost like a cross between garlic sauce at donair places and a mayo? Idk, but wasn’t a fan. Also the bun didn’t seem the right texture this time. Maybe it was just an off day, but I suspect it was more likely a change that is part of the new name and expanded menu. I might still give a few other menu items a try as it is a convenient location for me, but will be looking for banh min elsewhere.

Old review: Pork banh mi was pretty good. The accordion cut pickled carrots/daikon, and cucumber were fresh and tasty. It didn’t have any cilantro though, which for me is important in banh mi so I’d give it 3.5 stars if I could. I also wish there was a bit more info on their food drink menu. It’s hard to know what to order online without information such as ingredients. I can’t have caffeine but it’s really hard to tell which drinks might be safe...

Frenzy has beautiful space and decoration with flowers and other stuff on shelf. We love wonton soup that is so yummy and different from other restaurants in the city. Also the drinks are excellent. I tried lychee tea and my husband tried Dalgona coffee that were so amazing and tasty. Luckily we found it last 30 mins before it’s closed at 5pm but the lady was so kind to let us enjoyed our meals until 5:15. What a beautiful little spot! If you are looking for amazing coffees (with a large selection 🤩), decadent desserts and pastries, scrumptious salads and the most wonderful friendly staff...then your hunt is over! Get your butt to Frenzy! The cheesecake, WOW. Most places I find that do a cheesecake, well they are yummy but also heavy. The one I had at Frenzy was so flavorful BUT super light at the same time. I want to (wait...NEED) to try the other...
