This place would have been good if our server was kind to us. We came in on Thursday, Nov 14 after work as a group of colleagues from work with someone visiting from Calgary to go to the Taylor Swift concert. Our server was not attentive to us, we had to wave him over each time we were looking to order something. I came in 30 minutes after the rest of the group and he walked past me multiple times until after 30 minutes I went to the bar to ask for a drink menu he forgot to bring over when we had already asked for it. To put the cherry on top, we had a stack of dirty plates that I thought had been used. Lastly, when I asked for the bill (at the bar again, because we were waiting for however long), and when I asked politely for the bill, in no rush, he rolled his eyes and looked down at whatever he was cutting and let out a big sigh and said he would get to it, like we were some burden. I have never been so disgusted with the service, he was not polite, and I will never go back to a place where we were clearly not wanted. He might as well have told us to get out, at least we wouldn't have had to endure that painful time we spent there....
Read moreDisappointing Experience at Mossop’s Social House. I recently visited Mossop’s Social House, and unfortunately, it was one of the worst experiences I’ve had at a cafe. Despite the place being completely empty, I waited at least 20 minutes for two lattes. The server, Chris, seemed completely lost at the checkout, struggling to process our payment. He gave us the wrong bill three times, overcharging us with items we didn’t order.
To make matters worse, the girl making the coffee had no idea what she was doing. Each latte took her around 10 minutes, and instead of focusing on her work, she spent time on her phone while I waited.
The place itself is nice, but the service was absolutely terrible. If you’re looking for good service or even just a quick coffee, this isn’t the...
Read moreWe came here as a friend gave us a voucher that was expiring soon. The breakfast options are good. We ordered the Victoria breakfast and eggs Benedict. I liked the Victoria breakfast better. Eggs Benedict had a funny coconut oil smell. Maybe it's from the muffin but I wasn't a fan. Husband also said it's not the best eggs Benedict he had. The portions are generous. Their potatoes are very tasty and nicely seasoned. The bun on the Victoria breakfast was really good. Our server Misha was exceptional. Listens well, and attentive to our needs. The ambiance could use a serious uplift. It looks like an old school diner - including the furniture. Restrooms are downstairs but you can take the elevator to it. Overall a decent experience, not sure if it did enough to bring...
