Service/servers were very good.
Food, and drinks, however, were not.
I ordered an old fashioned which generally comes with a maraschino cherry (and also says so on their menu). The drink came without one, so I went to the bar and asked, I was told they were out. No offer to make another drink for me. There was only one bartender, and it was New year's Eve, so very busy. If you're missing an ingredient I believe that you should remove the drink. And yes, I believe the cherry is important. It's one of my favourite drinks, and one of my favourite to make for my friends at home.
Next up, the food. 3 out of 4 of us ordered the steak frites. We all ordered medium rare. You can tell by the picture it's not ( closer to medium well) Also only 5 fries, my friend had 6. When I showed/mentioned it to our server (Vanna), she went to find out what could be done. When she came back she told me that the steaks were all pre cooked, and that wasn't communicated to the serving staff. I was offered the butter chicken, but I declined as I'm not a big butter chicken fan.
I view this miscommunication as a fail on management if the above is truly the case, as this should all be known when we order so we have full knowledge of what we are getting. We prepaid for this in advance, and also spent in excess of $100 per couple on top of that for a 2½ hour experience.
I cannot at this time...
Read moreThis place is fine to go to, but I definitely wouldn’t recommend. I walked in after noticing it on the street and was able to get a table right before the show.
My biggest issue was the surprise costs to attend. Tickets are ~$25 iirc but what they don’t tell you until after you’ve purchased your tickets and have been seated is that on top of that cost, you are required to buy a minimum of two drinks per person (food also doesn’t count towards the minimum). They are strict on this rule.
For the layout, it’s hard to explain but there’s several sections that you wouldn’t be able to see the comedians. If you go, make sure to see what tables are available before getting your ticket.
As for the comedy, I’ve been to many amateur nights but the one I was at was one of the roughest ones. Nobody was laughing and the comedians then made the same repetitive jokes that the crowd was uptight. Their comedian lineup is always rotating though so that is just the luck of the draw.
Food and drinks were okay.
So, I probably won’t go back after my experience but if you’re wanting to go, it’s an overall...
Read moreMy partner and I went to the comedy show last night and we’re throughly disappointed both in the venue and comedians. The only thing that we were able to end up laughing at was just how hilariously horrible the night ended up being. We paid $50 for two tickets + $30 for two drinks , basically for white men asking people in the crowd what their jobs were. If I wanted to watch something like that I’d go to a house party where everyone is socially awkward and doesn’t know how to start a conversation. The venue is a terrible place for a comedy show, it’s a long skinny restaurant with only a couple seats in the front where the stage is and then singular booths lining the wall progressively getting further and further from the stage ( and closer and closer to the kitchen). We paid in advance for a reserved table for two and got paired at a big table in the back with two other couples. One comedian was funny, the second to last. He basically was saying that the crowd was horrible which honestly yeah, who could laugh and enjoy themselves in that...
