First time at this club (have been to many others) overall it was a great night! We went as a group of 4. Food and drinks 5☆, good selection of cider well until they run out. We came for the main show and stayed for the amateur hour, that was a mixed bag. The host of amateur hour was pretty good, a few acts were so bad which made them even more funny but nonetheless it was good. The only thing I can suggest for this place is to update their menu viewable to us lined up outside. The actual menus on the table were paper so got wet with condensation from the drink glasses. They would be better off with a QR code menu or laminated paper. This would also work well for their feedback cards where they claim to give out free tix, haven't received any email back about that so not sure they actually collect them. The only real thing that was annoying, the empty cups and cans were not collected. There were 4 of us drinking, with a can and cup of ice, so very little room left with our food plates. We will be back at some point.

HIGHLY recommend! This is the new venue from the Keto Cavemen Cafe comedy nights (comedy owner opened this spot just down the hill). Solid comedy lineups several nights a week and just a couple minutes walk from the skytrain. The food menu was recently expanded, and definitely for the better. Most of the appetizers are tasty, and really easy to share; plus if you show up early, there’s happy hour specials! Definitely fantastic for beer or cocktails, but would love to see sparkling wine (even something cheap) for variety. Grab tickets online, unless it’s open mic night. This is a small venue with limited seats. Also: get there early to sit near the front if possible. Awesome spot for comedy. The venue can be a little tight with big groups, but personally love the intimate vibe and haven’t had a bad experience in over a half dozen visits. Edit: sparkling rosé and new food and cocktail choices recently added to their menu! Also: props for glassware!

[update: since the restaurant decided to make an odd reply to my review, i’m rating this lower. the set up is bad regardless of your reasons. felt more like you care about profit and getting butts in seats rather than experience of your patrons. i didn’t enjoy the show and the service was bad, and i am allowed to make that public so that things can get better. wish you would have just taken the feedback rather than coming at me]. original review: odd set up for comedy… they sat us in the VERY back of the restaurant, which wouldn’t be weird if the place was full but and there were empty booths and a whole bar between us and 98% of the actual crowd. we BARELY could hear the comedians but could hear the kitchen, the kitchen staff and bar sounds REALLY loud the whole time. lots of dead air and distracting sounds throughout the show. sadly did not have a good time. the comedy, service and set up was meh :/

Service/servers were very good.

Food, and drinks, however, were not.

I ordered an old fashioned which generally comes with a maraschino cherry (and also says so on their menu). The drink came without one, so I went to the bar and asked, I was told they were out. No offer to make another drink for me. There was only one bartender, and it was New year's Eve, so very busy. If you're missing an ingredient I believe that you should remove the drink. And yes, I believe the cherry is important. It's one of my favourite drinks, and one of my favourite to make for my friends at home.

Next up, the food. 3 out of 4 of us ordered the steak frites. We all ordered medium rare. You can tell by the picture it's not ( closer to medium well) Also only 5 fries, my friend had 6. When I showed/mentioned it to our server (Vanna), she went to find out what could be done. When she came back she told me that the steaks were all pre cooked, and that wasn't communicated to the serving staff. I was offered the butter chicken, but I declined as I'm not a big butter chicken fan.

I view this miscommunication as a fail on management if the above is truly the case, as this should all be known when we order so we have full knowledge of what we are getting. We prepaid for this in advance, and also spent in excess of $100 per couple on top of that for a 2½ hour experience.

I cannot at this time...

This place is fine to go to, but I definitely wouldn’t recommend. I walked in after noticing it on the street and was able to get a table right before the show.

My biggest issue was the surprise costs to attend. Tickets are ~$25 iirc but what they don’t tell you until after you’ve purchased your tickets and have been seated is that on top of that cost, you are required to buy a minimum of two drinks per person (food also doesn’t count towards the minimum). They are strict on this rule.

For the layout, it’s hard to explain but there’s several sections that you wouldn’t be able to see the comedians. If you go, make sure to see what tables are available before getting your ticket.

As for the comedy, I’ve been to many amateur nights but the one I was at was one of the roughest ones. Nobody was laughing and the comedians then made the same repetitive jokes that the crowd was uptight. Their comedian lineup is always rotating though so that is just the luck of the draw.

Food and drinks were okay.

So, I probably won’t go back after my experience but if you’re wanting to go, it’s an overall...

My partner and I went to the comedy show last night and we’re throughly disappointed both in the venue and comedians. The only thing that we were able to end up laughing at was just how hilariously horrible the night ended up being. We paid $50 for two tickets + $30 for two drinks , basically for white men asking people in the crowd what their jobs were. If I wanted to watch something like that I’d go to a house party where everyone is socially awkward and doesn’t know how to start a conversation. The venue is a terrible place for a comedy show, it’s a long skinny restaurant with only a couple seats in the front where the stage is and then singular booths lining the wall progressively getting further and further from the stage ( and closer and closer to the kitchen). We paid in advance for a reserved table for two and got paired at a big table in the back with two other couples. One comedian was funny, the second to last. He basically was saying that the crowd was horrible which honestly yeah, who could laugh and enjoy themselves in that...
