While I was waiting for my takeout order I was reading the menu, and what stood out for me was the detail in the menu and healthy options (see pics). I know this sounds a bit weird, but the menu was very attractive, as it made it so easy and appealing to order. Their food items and sushi rolls were very creative and actually came with descriptions as to what was in it, which is helpful. Not all sushi places have that and you have to ask the server...what's in this and what's in that..... Loved the healthy alternatives.....GMO free, Organic, Free range etc....awesome.
Vancouver is filled with amazing Sushi places, so there's not much to say....I liked it....their Sushi was fresh and appropriately proportioned (see pic). The right amount of salmon to avocado to rice. The right amount of salmon to avocado to cream cheese to rice. This sounds like a no-brainer....I know, but it counts....I've been to sushi places where they try to save a buck by replacing the serving of salmon with rice and the serving of avocado with cream cheese. With these guys I got what I paid for. I mean I've been to a couple of sushi places where I ordered the Philadelphia roll (salmon, avocado and cream cheese), where the majority of the roll was just cream cheese and literally a slither of salmon and a tiny cube of avocado. It all comes down to how much expertise the sushi chef practices and how ethical the management of the place is toward their guests.
Even though the service was decent, I think it could use improvement. I waited too long for my couple of rolls, and at the end I asked about my order to find out it had been sitting there all along. But, I liked their sushi and the...
Read moreOn a chilly December evening in the year 2023, we had the pleasure of experiencing an exquisite sushi dining experience at a local establishment. The service was impeccable, and the cuisine was nothing short of exceptional.
Our taste buds were tantalized by a variety of delectable rolls, including the Smoked Salmon Roll, which boasted a delightful smoky flavor, and the Philadelphia Roll, which was made with fresh, succulent fish. The latter was particularly delightful when paired with a dip of soy sauce and wasabi. However, the Aburi Rainbow Roll stole the show with its divine meat and truffle topping.
But the culinary delights did not stop there. The hot green tea that accompanied our meal was refillable and had a subtle hint of sesame flavor that was both pleasant and enjoyable. The aroma alone was enough to make our mouths water.
The chef, who was gracious and welcoming, took notice of my credentials as an experienced reviewer with a master photographer badge and expert reviewer badge. He invited me to the kitchen, where he eagerly explained the intricate details of how some of the rolls were made. His humility and excellent English-speaking skills were impressive.
Our servers, Carol and Darius, were equally attentive and kind. They checked on us regularly to ensure our tea and ginger were continuously replenished.
Overall, I highly recommend this establishment to anyone seeking an exceptional sushi dining experience. It is sure to leave you with a happy and...
Read moreRegular customer here. I eat there three to 4 times a week for a year due to very close to my work place. I am totally embarrassed today. I left my wallet 1st time like a few months ago and they said I can pay with e transfer. So I paid the amount. So far I paid with e transfer for 3 times including today during my one year eating there every week. I always put tips as well. Today I left my wallet unfortunately and I went there to eat since I had paid with e transfer for 2 times, so i thought it should be ok. So when i asked for a bill, the Phillipino male who look like a supervisor embarrassed me by saying "if you don't have money why you didn't let us know?, why u always do like that? So if said I am not always doing like that i left for today and 2 times before. So he said very loud that u should tell me if you don't have money. I was totally ashamed. I am regular customers. If they don't accept e transfer, they should explain me in my first time. I will starve myself than ashaming by a waiter and it is so loud. Not only that but also he said why am I making his life very difficult. He is throwing the machine and receipt to their counter very loud showing he is angry. What kinds of behavior is that. I am small business owner in near by building. I never write bad review to anyone but today due to being too embarrassed and ashamed, I write...
