Living in Whistler, there are plenty of options for food (& pizza). After my experience last night, I will definitely be looking elsewhere and recommend anyone who values decent customer service to do the same.
Ordered online for pickup, order was estimated at 45 minutes. Arrived in about 30, to see our order through the window sitting. There was a lineup which was understandable after midnight on a Thursday. Waited approximately 15 minutes in line, while intoxicated people were cutting in front, and staff doing nothing about it. When we were almost at the front of the line, they ran out of slices. So they had 4 people waiting at the front of the line for more slices to come out of the oven. Advised a staff member that our order was sitting there and they insisted we had to wait, while our order continued to sit and there was nothing to serve the people in front of us. Not sure why we couldn’t just pay and take our food. We then offered to pay cash, to which the staff member reluctantly agreed. When asked if we wanted change (it was a certain yes as working in hospitality myself you tip based on ‘good’ service and not lack thereof) we were handed our cash back and told to wait some more. At that point we figured there was no point spending $50 on pizza that wasn’t going to be fresh anymore so left and went elsewhere.
Will now be looking for a new pizza option in Whistler, and will no longer be recommending Fat Tony’s to...
Read moreWorst pizza experience ever, Their machine was broken and I spent 1 hour trying to pay, I could not enjoy my food as I was to busy trying to pay them, they then told me the pizza was on them as their card machine was not working and I was only able to pay using debit as I am only 16 years old and only have a debit card. The next day they then spam called me and threatened me saying they have my booking information and that I must pay. Not only did I pay them but they charged me the full amount 33.50 for one pizza and this is all after the fact they told me they would charge me the regular amount for putting me through so much work. By far the worst costumer service Ive ever experienced. Your pizza delivery driver said that the pizza was on him he also said that the card machines not working was not my fault at all. The machine kept reading machine error, it had nothing to do with me not having money, you guys are the ones claiming your in debt and you charge customers for wasting hours of their time. Im happy I am not welcome as you have the worst service of all time, also of course I had someone else pay I stated I was only 16. Your accusations of me being intoxicated hold no value, for if I even was intoxicated which I wasn't all I had to do was tap my card or put...
Read moreThere’s a perfect symphony which must be met for a pizza- the perfect blend of cheese, sauce, toppings, and crust. I like to call the cheese, sauce, and crust the base– anybody can slap cheese and sauce onto some dough and call it a day. The difference is in how it is prepared and constructed- as in the quality of said ingredients and what quantities are they used in to create a masterful and well-rounded work of art for the senses. In this case, I feel like the toppings overshadow the base, and some may say this is due to my order… but I believe 3 toppings is perfectly reasonable (in this case it was beef, spinach, and jalapeños). I think a big mistake a lot of pizzerias make is trying too hard to be gimmicky or trying to be special; when sometimes, less is more. This place advertises itself as famous for its honey-sesame seed crust, which to their credit; is great, and works super well to create a unique dining experience. Their pizzas have a lot of potential, and I feel like they are on their way to becoming fully thought out and mature pies, but they’re still in their growing teen years and trying to figure themselves out.
Anyways, it was great....
