Kau Lodge — Restaurant in Puerto Natales

DO NOT LEAVE YOUR BAGS HERE WHILE YOU GO INTO THE PARK. We stored our bags here while we did a 5 day trek in TDP and when we returned they were gone. After no straight answers and continued requests to come back the next day (over a period of 2 days) and talk to the staff at the next shift, I finally asked for the manager to be called. One of the two bags was delivered within 20 minutes via taxi (WHY DID THE BAG LEAVE THE PROPERTY??) and the second bag was never returned. The bag that was returned had been opened and my medicine had been removed out of a pill pouch. The story was the a man from Thailand had accidentally taken our bags from the luggage room, and then left for home (so then why was one bag returned to us within 20 minutes?) So disappointed in the staff and how they handled what is very likely a theft or at least a gross mishandling of personal property. Do not leave any items in the care of this hotel that you care...

We stayed 1 night at Kau lodge as we transitioned from Patagonia to Chiloé during our travels.

We arrived on a rainy Wednesday evening, and to our surprise their cafe is closed weekly on Wednesdays. Their location is not too far from the Plaza de Armas, which has many restaurants and shops near by, so we were in luck.

The staff is friendly and went out of their way to accomodate an early breakfast for us the next day. Our room was plenty of space for two, and we had an amazing view out to the gulf. Overall exactly what we needed to catch some rest before a full day of travel.

One downside for any light sleepers out there is rooms with a view could be a bit noisy from the Avenida Pedro Montt traffic, and there is some old pipe noises through the walls that...

We came here after a long hike through Torres del Paine for a little bit of civilization and brunch. They spoke English, were incredibly nice and customer oriented. The space is clearly kept very clean which allows you to enjoy the incredibly cozy furnishings and decorations, not to mention the amazing direct view of the lake and mountains. After accommodating our special order of the Nutella latte without the coconut it normally comes with, we received our drinks within 5 minutes and food within 15 minutes despite there being at least 4 other tables.
