Antigua Fuente — Restaurant in Santiago

We happened to go at one of the busiest times of day, and had no idea how to order. You have to sit down (or stand at the bar surrounding the perimeter of the room) near one of the women in the middle cooking that has a number pinned to her apron. Get her attention and she'll take your order and point to where in her area you should sit / stand. She'll give you the drinks and food, then when you're done she'll give you a ticket. Take the ticket to the front to pay and they'll stamp it. Give the stamped ticket (and any tip you want to give) to the woman who served you. The menu on the wall when you walk in is in Spanish but they have laminated ones with some English under the counters. Food was great, but I thought the "completo" would have everything on it (avocado, tomato, etc) but it was just meat, tomato sauce, sauerkraut looking stuff, and cheese. We had one lomito completo (pork, cabbage, tomato sauce and mayonnaise) and one lomito con queso caliente. Both were so delicious and portions were huge. It was very good idea to cut the both sandwiches and share each half for both plates, we were going to change the plates to try both anyways. Watching the ladies working here is like asmr. They are preparing the sandwiches so quickly, delicately and delightfully. This place reminds me of katz delicatessen in New York, it is a classic and nostalgic sandwich place too, similar to this one. La verdad que me voy a tomar mi tiempo para contar lo que me paso en este lugar. Soy Argentino viví en Chile cuando era un niño, varios años y tengo grandes recuerdos de Chile, decidí llevar a mi novia (polola) a Chile, tanto a Santiago como a Concepción, ya que quería que ella pruebe tanto la mejor palta del mundo, como los mejores hot dog del mundo, que en Chile les dicen completos. Primer día en Santiago mi intención era ir a la fuente Alemana que en mis recuerdos era increíble o ir a Cevasco en Viña del mar que tiene excelente fama a la hora de hacer completos, el asunto que nos agarro la hora del almuerzo en un barrio muy lindo por la calle pionono, barrio bella vista, decidí buscar en Google y a pocas cuadras teníamos una fuente la cual por comentarios parecía muy muy buena. Entramos a un lugar que por fuera no daba la sensación de nada del otro mundo, pero cuando entramos había bastante gente. Pedimos 2 completos italianos y dos latas de fanta. A los 20 mínutos aproximadamente la señora de la cocina nos sirve, nos parecieron muy ricos, pero a la hora de pagar la señora de la cocina, saca un lapicero y escribe en un papel a mano varios números. Cuando vamos a la caja a pagar un señor lee eso y ya sabiendo que somos extranjeros por que escucha nuestra tonada, nos cobra más de 30 mil pesos Chilenos, en ese momento me pareció un poco caro, ya que eran solo dos completos, y con ese dinero se que en mi país, comes durante 2 días, la mejor carne y buenos vinos. Más allá de eso nos fuimos con una sensación rara, después comenzando a averiguar precios de las cosas y preguntando en demás lugares y con amigos locales, me dijeron que era imposible que me cobren tanto dos completos (hot dog) para que tengan una idea más de 30 dólares americanos, y realmente nos sentimos estafados, no solo por que no pueden cobrar tanto sino por que sentimos que por ser extranjeros se abusan.
