I recently visited Liguria with two European friends, and unfortunately, the experience was a mix of positives and negatives, leaving us with a bittersweet impression.

The Positives Reception at the entrance: The person who welcomed us at the door was incredibly friendly and attentive, creating a very inviting first impression. Ambiance: The interior patio is beautiful, with well-thought-out decor and pleasant music, making it an ideal setting to enjoy. The Negatives Overpriced water: We were surprised by how expensive the water was, especially for such a basic item. The food: The steak tartare (crudo) lacked flavor and didn’t come with lemon, which is essential for this dish. Despite requesting it several times, we only received half a key lime with no juice. After asking for the third time, the waiter finally brought another lemon, but with a bad attitude and after a 15-minute wait. This made it impossible to enjoy the dish. We also ordered chicken and fish, but the quality didn’t justify the price. Waiter’s attitude: When we declined an offer for more pisco sours, the waiter’s demeanor shifted to being hostile. Shortly after, he brought us the bill, giving the impression that they wanted us to leave quickly. In total, we spent $80,000 CLP, but the experience didn’t live up to expectations or the cost. While the ambiance and reception were excellent, the issues with the food and service left us disappointed Visité el Liguria recientemente con dos amigos europeos, y lamentablemente, la experiencia fue una mezcla de impresiones positivas y negativas que dejaron un sabor agridulce.

Fantastic restaurant with a generous portions, excellent service, and a very attractive space. Mocktails were exceptional. The wait staff were on top of their game and checked to make sure that we made the correct order when we ordered two different drinks that included pineapple. This was a great touch because our Spanish is terrible and our waiter went out of his way to make sure that he got it right. The tuna tartare was fresh, the bread was nicely toasted, and the portion size was generous. Scallops Parmesan were good, but we were hoping for oysters. The "Chilean Football Match" dish was unexpectedly great. It's a combination of peppers, ham, mozzarella, and olives. It sounds strange but was totally delicious. All of the dishes were well seasoned -- this was a welcome change from many other restaurants in Chile. ...

Fantastic little chain in Santiago, they have locations dotted around the city, for something more cosy maybe the providencia locations but the location in Lastarria is really amazing. Divided over a few floors it’s had an amazing restoration and is 100% an experience to put on the list if you’re in the city. Food is pretty nice, bistro style dishes, nice selection of drinks, and in general pretty amazing staff that are mega helpful with the menu.

Only reason I wouldn’t give 5* is that we were there as a group, the last table out and we were asked to leave without much warning even though they served us a last round of drinks, they didn’t give us much time to finish. Bit of a shame to end the night like that. Just seemed like some miscommunication between who served and who was in charge.

That aside, a...

This restaurant is a great spot for good food and a fun vibe. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. The place has a cool, old-school decor inside, while the outdoor patio is decorated with beautiful graffiti murals. For food, they offer a weekly menu. We ordered the Milanesa Parmesan and the Ribs with Charquicán. The Milanesa was good, but the Ribs with Charquicán were on another level—super tender ribs paired with incredibly tasty Charquicán. As for drinks, we tried the Chirihue and a Piña Mule, and both were fantastic. Very friendly and attentive staff. A bit pricier than other spots, but the service and quality food make it worth it. Credit cards accepted.
