This was my first time ever to any 海底捞。If I could give it 6 stars, I totally would! The service is unbelievably exceptional and over the top! There was some wait for a table, which wasn’t bad. While we were waiting, we were served hot tea, water with choices of snacks. There was an area for manicure for the ladies while they are waiting for the table. I suppose they are free, as my brother said that’s what they offered in other locations. The food was great and everyone was very attentive and polite. They brought over cushions for my parents to help them sit more comfortable. They brought me a small scrunchie for my hair, in case I’d need to put my hair up during hot pot time. The food was very fresh and soup base options were great. There was a chef performing making noodles from scratch at the next table. Our waitress saw me watching, immediately offered to have the chef perform for our table for free. At the end of the meal, since my mom has obvious mobility issues, the waitress brought in a gift bag with a battery operated hand held massage device for her. Wishing her well and good health. With all the little things and over the top service, I didn’t even notice if the price was good or not. Even if it’s more expensive, it worth every single penny. I’ve been to plenty of restaurants with only standard service, especially in US, pretty much just bringing food you ordered to the table, already expecting a 20% tip. Tipping culture is non-existent here, or many other countries outside US for that matter. My family had a phenomenal time there. I would definitely spread the good word to...
Read moreI’ve been meaning to visit this Chinese hot pot chain Haidilao for a very long time since hearing so much about it. They did not disappoint and lived up to the hype.
Upon entering, we are offered a free nail treatment. Unfortunately, they were already booked out this evening as we arrived quite late. We were asked to obtain a card from our waiter to redeem this manucure next time we visit (not required to dine in).
The menu was plentiful and we had a selection of meat, fish balls, veggies, tofu etc. All were tasty and delicious. The sauce station with over 30 condiments and some starter dishes and fruit.
We were able to witness the tea pouring performance, hand pulled noodle dance and birthday singing. All these different performances enhances the atmosphere and ambience of the restaurant while dining.
Overall, a very enjoyable dining experience where the food was good, service was attentive and friendly.
Total bill came to MOP 1314 for 8 adults, an average of MOP165 per adult (£16/aud$31). Very reasonable compared to other...

Received so many freebies and as it was a family member’s birthday, they helped to sing and dance to celebrate! There is a manicure service (but you have to take a queue number separately and wait) and the quality is good.
As for the food, I recommend the fish, Haidilao’s special tofu, beancurd rolls, and the kungfu noodles which are not just a fun experience but taste really good too! The tomyum soup base was much better than expected, and the pork bone soup base was rich and tasty.
The food is great and the service is a whole new level. Definitely so worth visiting!!! We came at 4.50pm and didn’t have to wait, so I recommend visiting a little before peak lunch and...
