My wife and I have been coming here for years and it is hands-down the best sushi experience in Hong Kong for us.
For years we have the Omakase at the counter. The food is outstanding, higher quality than in most places I have eaten in Japan and the fish flown in fresh many times a week. Already after the first visit, the chef & staff remember your preferences and you literally never have to tell them again (unless you want to change). The place is small and has an intimate atmosphere, for us coming there feels like being in Japan for an evening. Additional likes for: seasonal fish, Suntory premium malt draft beer, and very good fruits & ice cream.
The other key point is value for money. The Omakase incl. drinks is always around 2500-3000 for us (2 ppl). We have been experimenting with many other sushi places in HK...taste wise we have not found a match for the same price. A few times we paid double that amount in other places - even smaller restaurant, fancier presentation...but taste wise...
Read morePlease do not care about their service, if u r keen to their service then try dun come to hongkong, I can only said this restaurant is giving the way of a Japanese fine cuisine, for tourist or even local, this is a restaurant to visit if u like Japanese food, they specialize more into sashimi n sushi, been tried their sashimi, sushi and a beef teppan, the chef really knows wat he is cooking. Teh sashimi is fresh, real fresh, however the sushi, u can experience such omakase style sushi but the price u pay is cheap compare wif those serving omakase style, the beef teppan is good to try, not the best, but as I said earlier they r focusing more on sushi n sashimi. I've order a soup, dobin mushi, taste a bit low quality, but I dun mind, their sushi is just nice, just try to avoid their soup or teppan, just eat their sushi n sashimi, surely will not regret....

Their current menu has been used since then with minor adjustments in contents. Like other Japanese restaurants in Hong Kong, the lunch menu is always bargain, higher cp than dinner menu.
Ordered a Sashimi lunch set which include 5 different kinds of seafood of 2 pieces each, miso soup, white rice (can be refilled), Japanese pickles, coffee or tea and ice cream. The average price of a lunch set is about $310, subject to 10% service charge.
Their Sashimi and tempura are freshly prepared, yummy and delicious. The dinning environment is comfortable, clean and tidy. The chef service is also above average. They have table and counter seat. Personally, I like counter seat so as to see the chef's...
