AMMO — Restaurant in Hong Kong Island

We chose AMMO as our wedding reception venue, and it turned out to be the best decision we made for our special day. The entire experience, from start to finish, was nothing short of exceptional.

First and foremost, our event planner, Stella, deserves all the praise. As I’m based overseas, she communicated with me over the phone, emails and WhatsApp efficiently and effectively for eight months leading up to the wedding, and her meticulous attention to detail truly set her apart. Stella was not only approachable and friendly but also incredibly hardworking. She went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of our reception was perfect. Her dedication and expertise made the planning process smooth and stress-free.

On the day of the wedding, the waitstaff at AMMO were outstanding. Their efficiency and friendliness added a wonderful touch to the celebration. The reception flowed seamlessly, thanks to the coordination between Stella and the attentive waitstaff.

The food was another highlight of the day – I had an average expectation, being an Italian restaurant, I thought the portions might be small, BUT to my surprise, the portions were generous, and my guests ended up being too full to enjoy my wedding cake. The food was delicious, I will revisit AMMO in the future! The decoration of the restaurant was simple, elegant, and classy What sets AMMO apart is that the venue itself is so beautifully adorned that we didn't need to spend extra on decorations. The ambiance created by the decor added a touch of sophistication to our event, making it truly special.

I highly recommend AMMO as a wedding reception venue for about 30-50pax. I am incredibly grateful to Stella and the entire staff for making our day so memorable. Thank you!

Went to this Western Asian fusion resto in Admiralty with colleagues for lunch. . We all ordered the Three-Course Lunch Set (HKD328). Following are some of our selections for the Beginnings, Entrees and Sweet Endingds:

-Beginnings: -USDA Prime Beef Tartare (+HKD45) Topped with an egg yolk, the beef tartare was mixed with kimchi paste and red onion, with capers at the bottom. The sesame oil elevated the aroma and umami of the beef tartare, while the crunchy capers added to its texture. The beef was well-marinated too.

-Diver Scallop Cereal Chowder (+HKD45) The chowder soup was served with salted churro. It was quite creamy.

-Entrees: -80Z USDA Prime Rib-eye Steak (+HKD70) Prepared in tagliata style, the medium-rare steak was served with roasted cherry tomatoes, parmesan rocket salad and garlic veal jus. The steak was succulent and tender, and the cherry tomatoes added a pleasant sweetness.

-Sweet Endings: -Pistachio Tiramisu (+HKD35) Topped with pistachio nuts, the light-green dessert was creamy. Yet it didn't feel quite tiramisu to me. . Located at Asia Society Hong Kong, the resto boasted a modern interior design. Surrounded by trees, the high-ceiling windows helped create a tranquil and elegant ambiance. The staff was courteous...

If you want to enjoy the worst afternoon tea and service in town, highly recommend AMMO!

NOT recommending AMMO - the worst service and arrangement ever experienced. Already reserved for window sofa seats 2 months before. The staff did call back for confirming the arrangement.

Upon arriving, being told the window sofa seats were all full which there was still one set of window sofa seats left. The manager cannot explain why the reservation for window sofa seats is not available and only replied the seats have reserved for another customers. Then why did the staff called few months ago did confirm for reserving the window sofa seats? I would have cancelled the reservation if such simple request could not be arranged. It’s YOUR RESPONSIBILITY, right? Absolutely unacceptable.

The tea time started at 3pm and at 4pm the staff already required for settling the payment and ‘friendly reminded’ we have to leave at 4:25pm. The shortest tea time ever experienced! Excellent!

Other than such ‘good’ service and arrangement, the savoury and sweet of the tea set DID NOT worth the price. Better save money for other tea sets with much better service and...
