I went in with high expectation since this is newly opened and supposed to be the next hit place in Central, but it wasjust full of disappointment. We arranged this place for a client drink hoping this will be an amazing experience.

First of all there's no clear direction on how to get there - there's no sign or whatsoever to signal going to 43rd floor before getting to 45th. Upon arrival, we were greeted by 2 very friendly staff, but they clearly was struggling to get everyone's bookings in and arranging the tables. We booked the table at 6:30pm, arrived 5 mins early, but we were only seated by around 6:50 - we stood by the elevator for over 20 mins waiting for the team to clean up the table since they were so short on staff. People without booking actually went in before us and we just stood there like idiots for the whole time.

The service at the bar was just, bad. No one paid attentions to us. Don't even mention the table were not cleaned - when I sat down there's still some pizza crumbles, vegetables and sauce on the table. We were trying to get the attention from the staff but everyone was so stretched they could not even take our orders. Drinks take ages to come - one of us ordered a glass of coke and it took over 20 mins. Imagine having a 2-hour limit and each round of drinks take minimum 20 mins to be here. Not ideal.

Moving on to the quality of food and drinks. Drinks itself again, are just bad. The wine list is shockingly short. Cocktails are ranged from 150-160 HKD per glass, but the quality is just mediocre (borderline bad). I had a Desperado and East 8 hold up, they are ok, I don't hate them. The worst part was, we ordered some vodka martini and I could barely taste the alcohol. The glass was filled with olive juice, insanely salty.

Food - we ordered a pizza and some chips. I did not eat the pizza but my team said it was only just warm and the cheesy chips were just so so. Does it worth this price point? No.

All in all this was a super disappointing experience for me. Yes the view was amazing but the drinks and food were bad. If I am to pay that much of money for the view only, I'd rather go to MO at landmark, or Zuma to get better quality food and drinks.

There's no way I'd go back to this place unless they up their...

This is not restaurant but a bar where you can order some just okish food.

First time at cardinal point, a rooftop bar at the 45th floor at Gloucester tower. On a beautiful day, the view is special.

We went for a Sunday brunch. Firstly, they brought a bottle of water without asking if we wanted some and then asked if they could open it. First time we got pushed to get some mineral water that way (80 hkd a bottle).

At 500 HKD, you get a starter, a main and can pick one of the 4 desserts prepared.

For starters, we got : the steak tartare very average, some pieces of beef were tough and the overall consistency was not tasty charcuterie and cheese were ok the truffle scrambled eggs tasted like they added some water, no salt and pepper just flat and watery.

For mains, we had : the pastrami sandwich : as the photos show, this is NOT a pastrami sandwich but more of a steak sandwich. Please note the size, not very generous clearly. suckling pig, barely average especially when you need pay extra get it (180 hkd). The skin is nice but underneath very fatty. The vegetable served were ok.

For deserts, we had the chocolate cake and the tiramisu. That was probably the best part of the meal.

Please note 50 hkd for an espresso which was so small the first time served that I had to ask them to do it again.

80 hkd for a bottle of water, 50 HKD for an espresso are prices at a Michelin restaurant. I wish the food at Cardinal was at the level of their beverage price.

Don’t...

Went to Cardinal Point for drinks for the first time. We had a reservation. I have given this bar 2 stars - one for the vibe, and another for the view. I unfortunately cannot rate it higher due to the extremely poor quality of service.

Our drinks took long to come. Our server was incredibly rude, she had asked us to pay right after we took our first sip. She had said pay now or open up a tab and give us your credit card to hold. This was at 11, the entire rooftop area where we were was packed. The place was meant to close at 1am. The way she informed us to pay was incredibly rude and she did not care to listen to our concerns about this.

We ordered 2 rounds of drinks each. The drinks tasted great, however they got my second drink order wrong. I had asked for the exact same drink as my first round. That same server brought another one and when I politely told her it’s incorrect she rudely asked me “You don’t want to try this?”. I once again politely responded with “No thank you I would like the drink I ordered”.

Finally, when we asked for the bill they got my second order wrong on the receipt. We informed her it was wrong. She rudely said it’s the same price as the correct drink. Then we told her how rude she was being the whole evening and she did not bother to understand. Horrible...

Had lunch. Service was attentive. Food is not bad at all. Beautiful view. Definitely worth coming back.

As a first time customer I’m sorry to say this was suboptimal value for money. Drinks are highly overpriced for what they are. My friend and I ordered some mocktails which were more ice than drink. The presentation of these 120HKD drinks were not visually enticing at all; this along with the service really impacted our experience to one that was not wholly positive. We were told on entry that we could sit outside for one hour before needing to move inside due to a private event taking place but this time was reduced to just 30 mins before we had to make our way inside. The wait staff also really need to up their game in terms of greetings and making the experience feel more personal and memorable. Unfortunately the service and beverages were a let down given the exquisite interior led us to believe the experience would be good. To end with a positive, the views are great!
