This is the best bar I have experienced in this life across the planet. Casual, unpretentious, open, friendly staff and patrons. It seemed to be the hangout for English speaking expats in HK. Couples on dates but still open to meeting new friends. A visiting Rugby team singing their songs (and left photos of their rivals in the urinals for target practice). At 1AM the Lufthansa flight crew came in to cheers of welcome folllowed by the Air France flight crew to more cheers. After 10 PM, forget getting a drink at the bar as you can’t reach through the ankles and legs of guests dancing there upon. I initially was very upset, but it the problem was resolved quickly and I appreciate that they went above and beyond to help me with my situation. The people here were very hospitable and gracious once they were informed and I spoke to them about a mistake on a bill. It wasn’t a big deal. Fell over the step up on the way in and my wife fell down the two steps from the seating area after 5 minutes. Apart form that, had a great time. Used to come for the quiz many moons ago. The mezzanine has gone now and the guitars on the wall are dusty, but the place lives on.
