I recently visited a small coffee shop that had limited seating, with around six indoor seats and two outdoor seats. Despite its small size, the shop had a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, with friendly staff and a good selection of coffee.
I decided to try their frozen black coffee, the "Black Magic," which had similarities to a blackccino, a silky and smooth drink made by adding espresso to ice water and using a steaming wand to infuse air into the coffee. While the Black Magic lacked the thick, creamy foam I typically associate with a frozen coffee, it had a unique and satisfying flavor.
I didn't have a chance to try their pastries or cakes, so I cannot comment on them. However, I enjoyed the coffee and the atmosphere of the shop. The limited seating could be a challenge during peak hours, but it added to the cozy and intimate feel of the shop.
Overall, I would recommend this coffee shop for its good coffee and friendly staff. If you're a fan of black coffee, the blackccino is a must-try. While I didn't have a chance to try their baked goods, the shop seemed to have a...

When we arrived on a weekend afternoon, the tiny cafe was already jam packed with coffee lovers. The menu was quite limited in terms of the coffee and other drinks, but there were unexpectedly more light bites to choose from.
[Seasonal Cheesecake] 3 flavors were available - original, milk tea and yuzu. We opted for the original, which was not your typical slice of cheesecake, as it had a caramel glaze top layer, light creamy middle and soft sponge cake base. The cacao powder on the bottom and chewy flakes sprinkled on top further enhanced the flavor, making each bite an instant pleasure.
Side note: I didn’t try the coffee, but my friend said it was super good, so I guess the quality lives up to its name!

Read moreCoffee Obsession is a quiet and somewhat hidden little coffee shop along the small lane called Boat Street near the heritage Oi (Oil Street Art Space) venue in Fortress Hill. Opening hours are 7.30am to 6pm (weekdays) and 9am to 6pm (weekends).
They have a small indoor area with enough seating for 3-4 people, there are a few make-shift outdoor seats and you can do take-away as well. During our visit, we had a double espresso and black coffee, both rather acidic and bitter, perhaps better used for white coffee drinks over black. They offer some light desserts as well but we didn't try on this occasion.
Otherwise, service was friendly and the shop had a quaint look and feel to it. Seemed like a nice little place to have a cup of coffee for those who find themselves...
