I attended a wedding banquet at IFC Cruise Cruise last night, and it was one of the most disappointing dining experiences I’ve ever had 😞. Despite the venue’s grandiose appearance, the execution was shockingly poor, making it an utterly forgettable night for all the wrong reasons.
The decor, while initially striking, felt neglected and dusty 🕸️, setting a lackluster tone from the start. The staff’s unprofessionalism was glaring—servers were disorganized, running around chaotically like headless chickens 🐔, clearly unsure of their roles. The team leader overseeing the event was particularly ineffective 😣, failing to coordinate food and drink service properly. Plates were cleared prematurely, with staff rushing guests to finish their meals, creating an uncomfortable and pressured atmosphere 😤.
The food was another major letdown. Presented as fancy, the dishes were bland and uninspired, lacking any real flavor 😑. Portion distribution was shockingly uneven—one guest received what can only be described as a “chicken pat pat,” a laughably tiny and poorly prepared portion that felt more insulting than appetizing 🍗🙄. Drink service was equally abysmal; glasses sat empty for most of the evening 🥂🚫, and some staff seemed clueless about basic beverages, with one even unaware of what champagne is 🤦♂️.
To make matters worse, the men’s restroom was an absolute disgrace 🚻. The urinals were arranged back-to-back in a cramped 1-meter square area, with a 2x2 layout that felt ridiculously claustrophobic and poorly planned 😵. It was an uncomfortable and frankly absurd setup for a venue that claims to be upscale.
The only saving grace was the host, who went above and beyond to create a warm 🙆♂️ and welcoming atmosphere for the party 😊👏. Their efforts were the sole highlight, but even their hospitality couldn’t salvage this disastrous experience. This made me still have a wonderful night. 💯💯💯
Overall, IFC Cruise Cruise falls embarrassingly short of its glamorous facade. Poor service, subpar food, chaotic organization, and a laughable restroom setup make this a terrible choice for any event 😬. Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere for a better dining...
Read moreThis used to be a good place with refined food but it has changed management. Today we were a party of 4 for lunch. We ordered a selection of dim sum. When things didn't come, we asked and a man came over and told us actually they sold out. But nobody told us until we asked. We also asked for a bowl of rice to go with the BBQ pork and it never came until we complained. The food quality has also dropped a lot from before and is not proportional to the price. The fried flour rolls were hard and tasteless. The shrimp rolls were equally tasteless. A lot of flavors seemed quite bland and watered down. I had to douse my food with vinegar to give it taste. The BBQ pork and the Pork buns were the only dishes that matched the quality from the past, but everything else is below par for a restaurant priced at this level at IFC. Perhaps they are struggling with cost control but it was really surprising how bad it was. I rarely give 1 star but it was just that...
Read moreThe restaurant is located in q premier mall in downtown HK with a good view of the eye of Hong Kong ferris wheel and harbour IFC but the food was not as good as the view. Quite disappointing despite the settings of a high end dining with a pricey menu.
Came here for dim sum lunch and the display of the dishes were nice but the food was a disappoinment. The siew loong pau was not up to mark, the skin was dry and tough and the stuffings had very little soup in it. The racist pork was lean and decent but skin was not crispy enough. The glutinous meat balls had minced that were too mushy. Only our grouper fish congee was good. Overall a disappoinment and definitely not worth the price of almost HKD $400 price person. Service was good and the servers...
