Very disappointed - we thought it was Crystal Jade but it’s been ‘upcycled’ to JiangNan - horribly expensive for tiny portions zero ambience. The xiaolongbao were good not the best only 4 per basket, the giant crab soup dumpling was great (best of what we ordered shared between 3), veggies were simple and fresh, fried rice was alright but the smallest portion I’ve ever been served. Seafood noodle was tasteless honestly. Worst of all the braised pork belly was a total disaster like eating cardboard soaked in soy sauce dry and fluffy when it should be gelatinous and juicy…the place was dead we should have left when we noticed this and the price but the tea had already been poured and ‘complimentary’ pickles (they charged them to our bill even though we didn’t order them $10!) served.. staff were friendly and quick to apologise for the dreadful pork dish which they took off our bill. Will never ever be back! Not often I give such a poor review. Way too pricey for quality and...
Read moreEven though the wait time is fairly long - this is a restaurant where I think its worth the wait.
Went there after work with 2 friends last Wednesday . Got there at 7:30pm and FINALLY got a seat at 8:10pm.
We ordered many dishes to share.
Vegetarian beancurd sheet roll - $48 good portion size and very delicious
Jelly Fish - $52 delicious
Steamed Pork Dumpling - $30 we ordered 2 baskets these are my favorite here.
Sweet & Sour Fish - $58 This was really tasty. The fish was covered in sauce. Can't go wrong with sweet and sour
La Mian Noodle in Spicy & Sour Soup - $50 This was okay a bit bland last time I ordered this at the CWB location it was much more tastier
and lastly we ordered the
Shanghai Noodles with Shreeded Pork - $60 This was a bit too oily
Overall i'm always satisfied eating at crystal jade. I find the price to be very reasonable when the food is also very satisfying. This is one of the few restaurants that I always return to.

Read moreCrystal Jade is local franchise that specialises in la mian noodle, Xiao Long Bao dumplings and Shanghainese style dishes with branches spread around the city. We have been enjoying food from Crystal Jade for years. The restaurant offers nice seating space and offers take-away and delivery for those who prefer to eat from within the comfort of their own offices, homes and hotels.
I'm a big fan of their Sechaun style soup with la mian noodles. This is a delicious medium spiced soup and a generous portion size. The Xiao Long Bao, chili wanton and wanton soup bowls are very good as well. The sweet bbq short rib is another nice order that we like to have with their fried rice.
Queues can be quite long at Crystal Jade branches during peak meal times. Expect to wait 15-20 minutes for a table. Service is relatively quick when dining in at their restaurants. Food is consistently good, hence while we eat at their restaurants...
