If you’re visiting or planning a family weekend there, you have to put this underrated place on your place list. This is a must and to go option for parents fussing over huge family trips to Kowloon. Apparently this is one of the best places to have an egg puff in Hong Kong. I went to the branch located in the Central Market. Takeout stand only but there is a communal standing eating area shared with other food outlets. Not too busy on a Sunday evening and I waited around 7 minutes for my original egg puff. There is a huge variety, from sweet to savoury, plus drinks too. They are known for their unique options like earl grey chocolate chip, white sesame or salted egg yolk to name a few. As I said, I went for the plain and simple original which was reasonably priced at 20 HKD (December, 2024). It was nice but I have tasted better. It wasn't that warm despite being freshly prepared and it didn't have like that eggy puff taste. Kind of bland. Lacked like that full body texture. The lady that served me was pleasant and friendly. Read moreDelicious egg waffles at a reasonable price right in Central! I’ve tried several different flavors, and they’ve all been great—but I’ve only had the egg puffs so far. My favorites are the matcha chocolate and the double cheese. Sometimes I get both because I can’t decide between sweet or savory!
The matcha chocolate has a nice balance of slight bitterness and subtle sweetness, while the double cheese is crispy on the outside and soft and chewy inside. Lines can get long, but the cashier usually lets you know before you order if the wait will be a while. I’ve never waited more than 15 minutes....
