STARBUCKS Shun Tak Centre Shop — Restaurant in Hong Kong Island

Amongst other food outlets at the Shun Tak Centre (also known as the Hong Kong Macau Ferry Terminal) is a conveniently located Starbucks. Prices as well as coffee and food quality is the same as what you'll find throughout the city. Opening hours are great for early departures to Macau (6.30pm to 10pm) daily.

I sometimes stop here for an espresso or doppio prior to catching ferries to Macau. Espresso is Italian roast, made properly and tastes fine. Morning pastries are also fine although I rarely eat here, preferring to wait until I arrive in Macau so I can enjoy Portuguese style tarts or other establishments I like there.

Went to Starbucks to try the new Teavana series.

I don't like coffee or Hibiscus so I got the grapefruit with honey.

It had a nice strong natrual grapefruit taste but the honey was a bit too sweet for my liking.

While I was waiting for my drink, I saw this tasting session list which starts at 3pm, since it was already 2:45pm I decided to try the tasting.

When I asked the guy at Starbucks, he said it doesn't have to start at 3pm.

Basically they have a new range of loose leaf teas by Teavana which they also sell as well.

I was given a sample of the citrus mint and youthberry.

The youthberry was pleasant but I didn't like the mint because it tasted like mouthwash! The guy on the left could have asked for a tasting too instead of buying non Starbucks drinks to drink...

A cozy and quiet Starbucks for weekends, if you are looking for one.

Located next to the Macao ferry pier in Sheung wan, it used to be a very busy one for the travellers. Thank you to the Covid and the regulations set by the government, lesser travellers between two cities and the Starbucks now become a very nice place for leisure work and chill.

Staff are all very nice, seating are ok, at least you won’t feel too packed. And enough lighting for you to work on your iPad, or movies watching.

It would be great if there are some sofas for a more relaxing rest. But I’m surely satisfied with the environment now and enjoy the last bit of chill before the real...
