Amaroni's MOKO — Restaurant in Hong Kong

Place is well lit, not crowded, atmosphere was nice, music was relaxing.

Placing an order was difficult, either I spoke too softly or the staff were naturally talented at ignoring me (same thing happened when I was asking for the bill).

The appetizer came first, it would’ve been better if the mains weren’t practically served at the same time; which is also to say the drinks came after the food.

We ordered a set for two, it was more than enough for us. It includes: 1 appetizer (mussels) 1 pizza (choice of 3) 1 pasta (choice of 5) 1 dessert (tiramisu) 2 drinks

Mussels Bianco tasted Asian.

Portobello Mushroom Pizza was awesome.

Chicken Parmesan served with Spaghetti - chicken was good, pasta was disappointing.

Mixed Berries Milkshake tasted more like water than milk or berries. Kiwi Lemonade was delicious.

Horrible customer service with no basic table service

No one come collect the dishes after we finished the entrees. Even there were empty plates and new dishes come, staffs acted like as if they didn’t see the empty dishes and kept squeezing in All desserts were chalked all at a once on the table even we haven’t finished our main dishes which I never expect while dining in an Italian restaurant And that we would need to pile up dishes ourselves and desperately ask for water refill as if we were dining in the food court, nothing like an Italian restaurant What frustrating is that the dessert is included in the set menu but we were charged extra on the receipt

This $2100 dinner for 7 person just doesn’t worth it at all, not reasonable. Genuinely disappointed by the customer service - attitude of all staffs. Definitely not...

It was so good when it was newly opened a few years ago. Then came the pandemic which almost killed every business there. Some of my favorite staffs have either quit, or migrated to other countries. What's left now is a shadow of what it used to be. They do some great lunch deals here with incredible prices. Come for dinner is a totally different story. The staffs in day time, including a couple of Filipino staffs are kind and enthusiastic. At night it is a bit understaffed. Food quality is better for lunch than dinner for unknown reasons. At near Xmas time, it's understandable they take company party bookings. However, the rowdy and noisy behaviors of the party ruined the good dining atmosphere. My tip? Come for lunch, avoid dinners until pass...
