It’s my first time here and I’m never coming back again. It’s overpriced, the staff and the quality are just bad. The shop is not full and there’re a few empty tables, but we’re still asked to sit with somebody else and it’s so crowded. We moved to another 4-seats table next to us, where there are already someone putting their bags on 2 of the seats of that table, but the staff still asked us to move back saying they want to keep the 4-seats table for others, despite there’re at least 2 more 4-seats table empty at the time. The warabimochi costs $48 and the portion is so small (I ate 3 pieces before taking the photo). The boba is good but the mochi is not mochi enough, it’s not chewy, the texture is more like Turkish delight, which is weird. The mango tofu pudding is again not worthy, the mango is overripe and with some bruises like in the photo. The portion of mango is sadly so little (it looked exactly as the photo as it came) Maybe it’s shaved ice is better but I won’t risk...
Read moreIn Causeway Bay, there are so many dessert places serving shaved ice. This shop mainly serves Kong-styled flavours, like Hiwalk black sesame, Hiwalk peanut butter, mango pomelo, coconut etc. The shaved ice is super huge and icy, without any big chunks of ice. The Hiwalk egg roll at the top is delicious by the way. The peanut butter sauce is thick and intense, a bit sad that the sauce can’t reach the inner of the ice. I like the powdered peanut butter inside but the peanut crispy balls aren’t matching with the texture of the ice. I like the black sesame more. There is a scoop of black sesame ice cream inside, so the ice won’t be watered down easily. The bottom of the bowl is sweet tofu dumplings, definitely making a change of taste and texture to the ice. Fantastic! Perhaps next time I will try the...
Read moreIt's a dessert place I frequent whenever I'm in the area. I remember the shop being called by another name. Nowadays it's called Auntie Sweet. The dessert still taste the same. Still delicious and not overly sweet. Same familiar sight of people lining up outside to get in. Thankfully turnover is fast but I often visit during off peak hours to avoid the crowd. Given the cold weather, I usually order the hot Traditional Chinese Sweet Soup. Get a seat and scan the QR code for the menu and order it on the app. Food comes out in 5 mins. Portioning is just barely right for 1 person so I usually order 2 different desserts to mske up for it. The place is cramped and the tables are small. Bringing in huge bag packs or shopping bags will be quite challenging. Well like they say.. Stressed is Desserts...
