Having steak 🥩 during a stressful week is always the best as it is the ultimate comfort food! We were definitely in for a treat during our visit to contemporary steakhouse CARVER at Crowne Plaza HK for our date night dinner. We tried out their 20-day House Dry-aged U.S. Striploin with Coffee Grounds, which was the best of both worlds when it comes to texture and flavour. It was super tender yet still beefy and juicy!
We also thoroughly enjoyed their appetizer with the Warm Mushroom Salad and Beef Steak Tartare, Avruga Caviar . It was refreshing to try out their mushroom salad, while the beef steak tartare was super delightful to consume as well.
Besides the striplion, we also had Patagonian Toothfish as our Main and paired it was side dishes hand cut chips, and onion and pancetta Mac and cheese. We also love the Mac and Cheese as the ratio of moist and creamy of the dish was just perfect.
Last but not least, the Chocolat was definitely a dream come true for me. Being a chocoholic 🍫 , the dessert combined 70% dark chocolate marquise, chocolate honeycomb and raspberry sorbet...

The staff is also well service as our late booking (3 days in advance only) but can still arrange a table for us. Cheers!
However, I’d like to add my experience at our second visit on Easter Sunday (today): scallop was changed to crab roll (yes, those fake ones!). Our pork loin and sea bass was well done, the rib eyes ordered at next table were hard to cut. But the set price went higher than last time!
