The Italian Club Wine Bar, Steak House & Pizza Gourmet — Restaurant in Hong Kong

I ordered their tiramisu for next day delivery and it was supposed to be for a birthday. Unfortunately both the cake and delivery service were disappointing.

Service: I ordered their cake and selected 4/27 as the delivery date on their website. For some reason, I never received a confirmation email nor text, despite their website saying I would receive one. On 4/27 I reached out to customer service about the cake’s delivery, however as it was a Sunday, their CS was not available. They replied the next day that the cake is scheduled for delivery on 5/4, a whole week later, due to a system error?! In the end they were accommodating and had it rescheduled for the next day on 4/29, however it was still disappointing and inconvenient to have it arrive 2 days later than requested. Overall their online ordering service could really be improved.

The cake itself: They claim that their tiramisu is authentic and contains lots of mascarpone and little whipped cream. However, we felt like it was still heavy on the whipped cream, with little mascarpone. We could also barely taste any coffee liqueur flavour, and the lady fingers were kind of dry and not fully soaked. The cake was also dusted with what seems to be coffee grounds instead of cocoa powder… while the cake was not bad, it wasn’t amazing nor very authentic. We ordered the ravioli carbonara, a pizza with Parma ham and cheese, grilled veg and tiramisu. The sauce of the carbonara was very salty and watery, there was jelly-like stuff in the sauce (I hope it was only egg white.... not 銀龍白汁), seems like it wasn’t cooked well. The pizza was so hard and plain, not much cheese was there, tasted like a bread with some so-called 20 months aged ham on top. The veg wasn’t so fresh and the portion was small. Last but not least, tiramisu was so disappointing. It was soupy, the consistency was not right, the ladyfinger cookies didn’t soak with coffee espresso, it was just plain cookie. No coffee flavor was there. It was like cream cheese with a little bit of coffee powder on top.

Service-wise, the delivery was so slow. It took more than 20-30 minutes between each dish. One of the staff was so unprofessional. She delivered a wrong dish to us. I told her it wasn’t our order. She paused and then replied “I think it’s yours.” I said “No” again, she just left and eventually found out it was actually for another table. And she was the waitress who took our order at the...

Never shop from Italian Club online. I bought 800g of frozen Sicilian Red Prawns, cost me over HKD1,600. The prawns came freezer burnt. The shells were dried white and black. The prawn flesh again was dried up, chewy and salty. They refuse to admit they sold me sub par product but insisted that, and I quote " the dryness and salty taste you experienced may be due to the freezing process, which is a natural part of preserving this delicate seafood.
