URBAN CAFE — Restaurant in Kowloon

Went there few days ago, and I have to say, i'm disappointed. I will give one star for the cats in there, but the service is REAL BAD. I understand there are not enough servers (theres only two waitress at that moment), but the attitude I got from the waitress is not good at all. My friends and I are the second group entering the restaurant when the restaurant opens, and while others who came in later than us got the food, our desk is still EMPTY. We waited for more than an hour and we had nothing while other customers already finished their meal and got the bill. I asked the waitress two to three times for a follow up, one of them literally ignored me (I have a part time job working as a waitress in the busiest hours and I still won't act like that the first week working in there) I went in at 1, and left at 2something with an empty stomach, the waitress gave me a bad look when we decided to leave and go to another place for LUNCH. My friends and I did not eat anything before going here, and I can tell you that our mood dropped hella fast afterwards. I hope the restaurant can give out better trainings on the servers. I didn't enjoy coming here. (P.S. the guy and his friend beside us also came in around the time we are there, and before we left, he still only got a drink on...

1️⃣ 𝐅𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐝 𝐒𝐩𝐚𝐠𝐡𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐢 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐉𝐚𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐞 𝐛𝐨𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐥𝐞𝐞𝐤 𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐨𝐢𝐥 𝐇𝐊𝐃 𝟏𝟏𝟖 日式磯煮鮑魚薑蔥香蒜炒意大利麵 -Garlic and ginger could never go wrong with stir-fried spaghetti. The abalone was naturally salty and chewy, which I craved for more🤤😋

2️⃣ 𝐔.𝐒 𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐧 𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐇𝐊𝐃 𝟏𝟑𝟖 ⭐️ 慢烤美國嫩雞胸 🐓Tender and juicy chicken breast that loaded with apple sauce, it was certainly one of my favourite dishes of all. The naturally sweet sauce made the chicken even tasty and appetising.🍏🍋

3️⃣𝐅𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐝 𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐧 𝐇𝐊𝐃 𝟒𝟖 唐揚炸雞 🥲The coated flour was too thick and I thought I was just eating the crispy, deep-fried skin the whole time🍗

4️⃣𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡𝐚 𝐋𝐚𝐯𝐚 𝐜𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐇𝐊𝐃 𝟓𝟖 抹茶心太軟 💚With crispy edges and molten matcha lava oozing at the centre, it was rich, sweet and warm, which paired perfectly with ice-cream.🍦

Food is fine for a cat cafe. But as a cat lovers, i am more concerned of the cats' welfare. The cafe is way too small for so many cats and customers. There are no cat furnitures at all in the visible area. Yes it is cute that they sleep on your laps or bags yet its not like they have other options. There is definitely not enough space for the cats to have alone time n hide from the customers. For that many cats i can only see one water fountain. Customers forced n tried to hold the cats and no staffs cared to stop them. The tables were not cleaned up immediately so there were plenty of chances for the cats to consume the leftovers. Cats seems healthy except minor eye infections. Though i doubt how clean is the litter box area, since most of the cats have yellow stain on their white feet. Lastly most of the cats seems pure breed, n many of them are Scottish fold. I hope they treat them well n provide proper medical treatments when the cats are old n gonna be sick.
