Azure 80 — Restaurant in Kowloon

Awesome 270 deg view of Victoria Harbour from Azure 80 which offers Sichuan-Shanghainese cuisine. Ambiance was 🔥 and food was the bomb. The mapo tofu was an instant hit at our table. Everyone raved about the chicken wonton soup. The beef tongue—part of the cold cuts platter—was a little too spicy for our liking haha (would have been nice if they served us water on the house). I recommend pairing typical Sichuan dishes (Sichuan = spicy) with plain white rice. Overall, 5/5. The 10% service charge was quite worth it considering the attentiveness of the servers (also no QR code ordering so plus points for that). I recommend that you dine outdoors for the best views. Our second visit to this restaurant was extremely disappointing. We ordered fried rice, specifically requesting no chili, but it arrived loaded with chili despite the staff’s confirmation. Our soup order was forgotten, and after waiting an hour, we were told it was never placed. Additionally, the sweet and sour pork, priced at nearly 300 HKD, was served on melting ice, making the dish watery within minutes. Typically, restaurants use separate containers or enough frozen ice to prevent this, but we had to transfer the pork to another plate to keep it crispy. We have been there and sit on for fifteen minute and have try to ask for the waiter to be wait on, me and my daughter has raised our hands for many times. The shop manager saw us but ignore us, and the waiter and waitress did the same, I just wonder if they are short of the manpower, then they shouldn’t take the order and if they are busying on their current task they should at least respond to us and let us know they are busy at the moment and will get back to us shortly, Azure is a good restaurant but the service did fail us tremendously!...
