Presentation 9.5/10 The bread was served in a cool looking pouch, which was pretty unique. The seabass dish showed very nice layering and an appetizing mixture of colours. The steak’s presentation was quite plain but generally inoffensive. All in all, a careful and tempting presentation.
Taste 17.5/20 The steak tartare was quite strong but balanced quite well with the bread, both in terms of taste and texture. Not exactly delicious but it wasn't foul.
The Lobster Bisque was piquant and flavourful, giving an authentic taste and fragrance. Potato base was fresh and seasoned with just the right amount of herbs and salts. The sea bass was cooked to perfection and tasted both tender and juicy. After this I want to devout my life to the procurement of fish aka a fisherman.
The steak was flavourful, rousing some smoky notes from the grill and exhibiting a great depth of flavour overall from the high quality beef. The béarnaise sauce was strangely clumpy and thick, and considerably over-seasoned. Overall, it was quite nice but a bit heavy.
Portion Size 4.5/5 Though appearing rather small, the portion size was in fact rather filling. For the price, not exactly a place you’d go to solely to get full; it’s more for the experience.
Atmosphere 5/5 View of Victoria harbour is to die for. Watching fireworks or light shows from this spot is great. No background music, however, the ambience of the room felt quite soothing.
Service 4.5/5 Even when there was a slight crumb on the table, someone came by to help clean it up immediately. Attentive but unobtrusive service, and very kind waiters.
Price 4/5 If they ask you if you want water explicitly say that you want TAP WATER, otherwise, that’s 80 dollars down the drain. Other than that, the food was reasonably priced for its quality. Once again, don’t let them trick you. It all tastes like water, so get tap...
Read moreGorgeous view but flawed service. Our first impression of this brilliantly located restaurant was mixed. The receptionist didn’t seem to understand that we had a reservation but were simply turning up an hour early to enjoy some pre-dinner drinks. That’s okay, it happens. She took us to one of their outdoor lounges where the seats were wet. Luckily we spotted it before sitting and so changed to their outdoor table seating instead. The view is simply stunning from their large outdoor terrace. Their drinks are reasonably priced for this class of restaurant, and were well made, albeit some confusion when I insisted that I wanted an olive in my martini, not a twist of lemon, and this doesn’t make it a dirty martini. All fun! As the rest of our guests arrived, with the rumbling of thunder in the distance, we asked if we could start our dinner in their now empty outdoor terrace and move into our table inside when it started raining. The reply was a disappointing “We will release your table inside if you don’t take it now.” We shrugged off the rather abrupt reply and went in to have dinner. All in all, dishes were some good and some sub-par. I recommend their steaks. All of us who ordered them enjoyed it. Their sides cost extra and are annoyingly small in portion size given the extra payment. Their chicken pie was just a ceramic dish of chicken with pastry on top and tasted very ordinary. The lobster bisque was ordered by most of us, and we were all disappointed by it. Waiting staff were difficult to get the attention of. As lovely a setting as the place is we all agreed that it wasn’t worth...
Read moreHarbour Side Grill Restaurant Review I recently dined at Harbour Side Grill with a group of six, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The restaurant boasts a stunning waterfront view, made even more spectacular by the sight of a Star Cruise ship docked nearby, creating a mesmerizing nighttime backdrop. The food was a highlight. We started with the Deluxe Seafood Platter, which was impressively fresh, showcasing a variety of ocean delights. The Steak Tartare was a standout, with its silky-smooth texture and perfectly balanced flavors. Our group also shared a 1kg Tomahawk steak, which was cooked to perfection—tender, juicy, and just the right portion for six. The accompanying chips were delightfully crispy, adding a satisfying crunch to the meal. For dessert, the Apple Tarte was a sweet yet balanced treat, avoiding the cloying heaviness that can sometimes overwhelm. The service was equally impressive. Our waiter was friendly, attentive, and thoughtful, proactively suggesting we order two portions of certain dishes and expertly dividing them into six smaller servings for our group. Throughout the meal, the staff introduced each dish with clear explanations of how to enjoy it best and ensured our water glasses were promptly refilled. Their attention to detail elevated the entire dining experience. Harbour Side Grill is undoubtedly a fantastic spot for gatherings with friends, combining breathtaking views, delicious food, and impeccable service. Highly...
