Read moreIt's been a while since we last visited Hexa. We forgot how good the food and service was. It was our vegetarian day so it's a bit difficult to find a proper dinner restaurant that serves good vegetarian items and with a nice wine list as well. Haha
We were delighted to know that Hexa offers quite a variety of vegetarian appetisers and main courses. Our Server recommended a few popular dishes, which completely satisfied both our tastebuds. It was also visually stunning.
Said night we have ordered~
GOLDEN BRICK SILKY BEANCURD. The chef use Taiwan organic tofu and their secret spice mix for deep fried ensuring the tofu texture remains soft inside and keeping the crispiness at the same time.
JAPANESE LILY BULBS AND CHINESE YAMS WITH SESAME SEEDS SAUCE. We found one of the very refreshing appetisers with silky yams and sesame seeds sauce lifting up our appetite.
Our favourite dish of the night was the STEWED EGG WHITE IN JAPANESE PUMPKIN. It’s a popular vegetarian dish that cooks with smashed & diced pumpkin, the egg whites are well wrapped with pumpkins’ sweetness.
SAUTÉED KALE WITH GINGER AND BLACK SUGAR. The best part of kale is taken out to stew prior with black sugar & rice wine; which allows the scents and taste of the sauce are well absorbed.
SAUTEED EGGPLANT WITH SPICE AND CHILLI. Fresh and plump eggplants are deep fried with garlic; well flavoured with its spiciness and crispiness but eggplants remains tender as possible to create the distinguish texture. It almost has a cheesy consistency and look when you bite into it. Definitely a must try.
We will make sure not to wait this long before...

For my wife's birthday, I wanted to surprise her with a special dinner at this restaurant. Upon arriving, we were informed that there were no available seats, but the friendly staff kindly invited us to take photos outside while they prepared our table. They even helped me set up the lighting to capture a lovely portrait of my wife and me.
Once seated, we were presented with two delightful cocktails - "Hong Kong Yeah" and "Not Sure" - served in an elegant, jewelry box-inspired glassware. Both drinks were incredibly flavorful and visually appealing.
For our meal, we ordered a variety of dishes, including char siu, M7 aged wagyu beef, a delicious fish soup with crispy rice, and a lamb saddle. Every item was expertly prepared and bursting with flavors. The aged wagyu beef, in particular, stood out with its rich, concentrated beefy taste, yet it was not overly fatty. The fish soup with the crispy rice was a harmonious blend of savory broth and satisfying textures.
Although the overall cost was around HK$1,200 per person, the exceptional quality of the food, the attentive service, and the breathtaking ambiance made it a truly worthwhile experience. Seeing the delight on my wife's face as she savored each dish made it all the...
