I don’t normally write any reviews but in this case I feel I need to share my awful experience when I entered this bar with my family. We were looking for a place to eat on a Tuesday night and we came across an advertisement plastered outside the bar “buy 1 pizza get 1 free” deal. So we decided we’ll eat in here as we were looking to eat pizza. But what a bad decision that was. To get to the point the pizza was horrendous. It didn’t even look like a pizza as it came out square which to be honest was’nt a problem, it’s just that I’m use to round shaped pizza’s. The problem I had was the taste, It was like eating crackers with cheese dumped on top. I confronted the waiter and told her I was not happy but it seemed she wasn’t bothered. I told her about the picture they were advertising to lure customers in and why the pizza they have given me is nothing like the advertisement. Her respones “its just a picture” 😡 now that made me angry. I know from experience how a pizza should look and taste like but she just shrugged me away. Now I wished we just went to Pizza Hut. I also noticed the couple sitting opposite us had left most of their pizza. Wish I had made that observation earlier. Pls don’t be fooled by their advertisement buy 1 get 1 free. Also the rest of the food is very very expensive. I was really upset when we left the building. For a drink here might be ok but for food I wouldn’t recommend . By the way we’re from UK and I have eaten many pizza’s to know what pizza looks and tastes like. Hong Kong is great place but I feel their English food needs to be reconsidered. Take note HK KFC, your just as...
Read moreGreat ambiance covering over marginal food & service. Cash, credit cards and probably e-wallet payments accepted.
Clearly marked red door helps you to find this basement-level restaurant and bar. Unfortunately, it's more out of the way than necessary, as there was very little appealing or memorable in my visit there. Service is a little rough around the edges - no real efforts to engage the customers at all.
Bar is rather poorly stocked. Surprisingly small selection of liquors and beers, though it does manage to appeal to both Asian and Western tastes. I appreciated they had Magners Hard Cider as an option along with one other hard cider choice. Limited choices in Irish whiskey. Basic beer selection. Some wine.
Food sounds good but disappoints. I had their roast beef sandwich. I liked the sourdough baguette it was served on but there was a minimal amount of meat, less cheese, and practically zero flavor. Reuben was more saurkraut than meat. Bangers and mash featured a massive amount of mash, though the bangers (two) were respectably sized as well.
I haven't been to Ireland or England yet so I can't say whether the food here is representative in either good or bad ways. All I can say is that I would not go back here again despite the...
Read moreI really wanted some pub grub and it was between Gordon Ramsey's London House or Delaney's. The reviews were very mixed for London House but consistently good for Delaney's so I came here. It's easy to find, just exit Tsim Sha Tsui station at iSquare and it's across the street.
I came a little after 3pm when their happy hour started. Drinks are 20% off and it goes from 3-7pm. I had a vodka soda and the fish and chips. The drink was strong and refreshing. The fish and chips came out quickly and was well fried and hot. The beer battered was very good, not too thick and stayed crispy even after several healthy dashes of malt vinegar and lemon. The tartar sauce was okay. The chips were also very good.
Service was nice but I had to get the server's attention a couple times even though the place wasn't busy. It was fine though. My total bill came to $356HK or about $45.39US which is about average for Hong Kong prices.
They have a good looking Irish breakfast for $144HK daily until 5pm so I'm probably going back...
