5 Stars - Say Hello to Canton-ese Delights at Kong Chiu Lau! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Looking for some incredible Cantonese food? Tired of those stereotypical grumpy Hong Kong service staff? Well, I have a surprise for you! Follow the tantalizing aroma wafting from Mody Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, and you'll find yourself at Kong Chiu Lau.
Now let's get into the yummy details because trust me, this place is dim sum kind of wonderful! The food? Well, it's so authentic, you'll forget you're a tourist and start planning to move into the flat above the restaurant just to be closer. It's like your tastebuds hopped on the MTR and got off at Flavour Town station.
The staff? An absolute delight, a complete contrast to your typical 'Grumpy Cat' Hong Kong service. Here at Kong Chiu Lau, smiles are served more generously than the portions (and boy, are those hefty!). It's so refreshing, you'd think you've stumbled into a Cantonese rom-com rather than a restaurant.
All in all, if you're a food explorer seeking the holy grail of Cantonese cuisine, Kong Chiu Lau should top your list. You'll arrive hungry, leave happy, and come back for more. I promise, you won't be disappointed.
Tell them the happy Filipino traveler sent you, they'll know exactly who you mean. 😉🍚🥟🍜

However, the worst part of all was when the server set the table for guest he/she placed a small plate of preserved stuff on the table. We didn't touch it but we were charged for it. When we asked the server, we were told we need to refuse this plate of stuff at the beginning. The type of ripoff business practice was popular in Hong Kong around 80's or 90's certainly didn't expect that it still exist today and is bad for overall...
Read moreBooked half a roast pig for dinner, less than a quarter turned up. See attach pictures (so obvious that it's less than half) 10 pieces two rolls for about HKD 500! When I asked the manager, he says that's half a suckling pig! Total Rriiiippp off! Such dishonesty is trademark of CURRENT 2023-24 and prevailent trends of Hong Kong. CUSTOMER BEWARE of such establishments! Even the HKD 400+ Australian lobster is chopped up to hide it's full size. The Scottish clam was suppose to be large, but they serve small to...
