I have always loved Kakigori from Shari Shari, and I visited their Tsim Sha Tsui shop twice with colleagues after dinner. . For our first visit, we ordered Baileys Kakigori and Earl Grey & Chocolate Kakigori.
Topped with whipped cream and mixed nuts, the Baileys Kakigori contained Bailey's syrup, coffee cake and chocolate powder. It exuded a whiskey fragrance, and the coffee cake in it reminded me of tiramisu. The sweetness of the whipped cream and chocolate powder balanced the bitterness of the coffee cake and Bailey's syrup, creating a joyful combination.
The Earl Grey & Chocolate Kakigori consisted of earl grey syrup, chocolate syrup, cookie, whipped cream and chocolate crunch. The earl grey aroma was strong, and the freshness of the earl grey complemented the chocolate syrup nicely.
For our second visit, we ordered Tofu & Kinako Kakigori and Vanilla & Chocolate Kakigori.
The Tofu & Kinako Kakigori was covered with an abundant amount of matcha cream. The tofu flavour was rich and matched the kinako subtly, making a refreshing summer dessert.
The Vanilla & Chocolate Kakigori consisted vanilla syrup, chocolate syrup, oreo and whipped cream. Its interior was filled with oreo, adding some crunchiness to the dessert. The sweetness of vanilla and chocolate was well-balanced too. . All their Kakigori looked delicate and satisfying. This dessert shop truly creates an irresistible urge to try all of their Kakigori. . The dessert shop was immensely popular, with a min charge of HKD50 and only allowing customer to dine in for 45 mins. It was a bit noisy and crowded, but their dessert was truly outstanding. /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Had always promised my friend to take her to this best Kakigori shop in Hong Kong for a long time, and I finally fulfilled my promise🙂↕️. . We ordered Hazelnut Chocolate with Banana Kakigori. Topped with fresh banana and whipped cream, the Kakigori contained hazelnut syrup, chocolate syrup and banana syrup. As usual, each bite was flavourful, but this tasted a bit bland compared to their other Kakigori. Since it got cookies in its interior, it enhanced the layers of the dessert. My friend was so surprised that each bite of ice even had banana flavour. She was admired by the perfect balance between banana and chocolate. But the size of the Kakigori was a bit smaller than she thought.
We ordered Crème Brulé as well. Although it looked slightly plain, it was extremely creamy and milky, with the just right level of sweetness. This time the Crème Brulé stood out more than the Kakigori. ////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Brought one friend to this dessert shop after our spicy food dinner, as another friend reminded me that we should let her try the best kakigori in Hong Kong! . We ordered the Tiramisu Kakigori and Earl Grey Milk Tea Kakigori.
The Tiramisu Hazelnut Kakigori consisted of hazelnut syrup, coffee syrup, coffee cake, cookie, cocoa powder and nuts. Topped with whipped cream and cocoa powder, its interior was filled with cookie, adding more textures to the kakigori. The alternative flavours of hazelnut syrup and coffee syrup made it more complex too. The coffee flavour could be stronger though to make it more Tiramisu-like.
The Earl Grey Milk Tea Kakigori was more outstanding. With milk tea syrup, cookie and milk pudding, the kakigori was very fulfilling. The milk tea flavour was intense, and each bite of ice had a strong milk...
Read moreI swear all locals rate Shari Shari as the BEST spot to get kakigori Hong Kong. I’ve been anticipating their shaved ice long before I went back to HK. Now I can proudly announce: SHARI SHARI IS WORTH EVERY BIT OF ITS HYPE. Especially their tea flavors!!
*Hojicha & Matcha 焙茶抹茶配抹茶泡沫** First, we were in awe by how big each kakigori was. The kakigori was topped with matcha cream foam, hojicha on the outside and matcha on the inside.
The texture was extremely fluffy and smooth. The rich hojicha flavor wowed me as I didn’t expect strong tea from shaved ice!! Every bite was a surprise — they even put three mochi balls in the center.
*Earl Grey Tea with Mochi 伯爵奶茶配白玉 The earl grey flavor was so strong that we could still taste earl grey in our mouth in the next hour. The texture was meltier that it was a mess to dig into the kakigori. It had some milk pudding in the middle. Given how big their kakigori is, I’d recommend the hojicha-matcha one over this for...

Not only do they do the amazing shaved ice desserts (kakigori) but they also offer sets where you get a slice of cake or crème brûlée paired with Japanese barley tea, matcha, or hojicha for 70hkd
Kakigori are so generous in portions that 2 people could easily share one (preferably 2 family members or a couple because they don’t provide bowls to divide a portion to share)
The staff were really polite. I thought it was a little too cold and wanted the aircon to be adjusted and they duly complied instead of making a big deal about it like they do in some hk eateries.
Their minimum required spend per person is also reasonably set at 50 Hkd which is very reasonable considering they are in a prime location in tst where they will have to pay high rents for the space they are renting.
I’ll definitely return for their kakigori, crème brûlée, cakes,...
