Nice, intimate ambiance which helps with some challenges in the quality of food. Ironically located directly next door to another Mexican restaurant, the vibe here is quieter which is nice. Cash & credit cards and probably e-wallet payments accepted. Service is fine but not overly attentive (as is typical in Asia). Excellent cocktails.
It's quiet here. And dark. Not dark in a creepy or naughty sort of way, just dark. The menu reflects basic conceptualizations about Mexican food - tacos, burritos, quesadillas, etc. Chips & salsa were ok - chips were very crisp and perfectly salted. Salsa was pretty forgettable, but they do have Tapatio bottles if you'd like something with a little more oomph and flavor.
Serving sizes are quite respectable. Their beef nachos are good, with plenty of nice chunks of grilled beef. The cheese sauce tastes like it's out of a can/bottle, but it's not bad. Only pickled jalapenos, no fresh ones. Tacos are ordered singly. The rib-eye tacos sounded good but unfortunately they were drenched in a sweetish sauce that obliterated any of the meat flavor, and the overall experience was not unpleasant but still disappointing. Quesadillas looked fine but again, nothing to write home about.
The place where this restaurant shines is in the cocktails. First off they have a decent selection of tequila to improve the flavor of the cocktail. Their Spicy Mama Cita was indeed spicy - respectably so and that means a lot coming from me! Don't order this unless you're prepared to have your mouth stinging after every sip. That being said, the spice level doesn't detract from the flavor of the drink. Highly recommended.
A little less reliance on heavy sauces would improve the food here, but I'd come back just to sit and have chips...

Read morethe chicken quesadilla was off , I returned it and then chef or manager came back with another, it was just as bad, he said he was aware the first one was off but said this was better because he said the sauce was just made , honestly it didn't taste any different, smelled off and it wasn't from the sour flavor of sauce tasted old, in any case the didn't charge me for it thank God and I will say the fish taco was excellent, also ordered the nachos, very mediocre at best , had a lot better at Outback but they did serve with pieces of rib eye steak that was cooked nicely.. would recommend it as a place for drink but wouldn't order any food there again except the fish taco ... The service was excellent and very friendly but not one person in the place except me and nobody there when I left , that's a bad sign , food cannot be so fresh when you don't have customers , maybe the night crowd is better will try again later at...
