I have been living in HK for more than 10 years, I would said this place is one of the worst restaurants that I’ve been to. Start from the beginning, we have 2 pax for dining and they allocated us to the table next to the toilet while there were still 2 or 3 empty seats.
The service there was appalling, really bad. The waitresses there hate their job and they don’t like their customers. I was asking any recommendation, she told me the marinated beef, I said yes sure I would take that and please remove the other beef I just ordered, any other recommendation beside beef then she pulled her face and raise her voice telling me she just told me. What a conversation eh? Whenever I talk to them I said please and thank you, but they don’t really care. They don’t even want to make any conversation to the guests. First time I encounter this sort of service in HK, seriously I spent money to get these negative vibes when I have dinner?
For the food, the pork belly slices were rock hard frozen just took out from the freezer, after 20 mins still hard. They just put the frozen meat in the hot pan while still hard, this is not comply to the food safety. I tasted one bite and didn’t even want to eat more. They cook the prawn last after they cooked beef and pork. Prawns as seafood were sitting there for an hour.
Bill was $1000 for two for a very bad dinner. Think before you go, you could have spend where else for much better value and...
Read moreWe seated upstairs and I have to say I killed three insects 🤣😂😂😂 when we are looking at the menu. You may see the last picture (there is one dead in the water). I convinced myself this maybe a sign of nice restaurant tho even insects come😂.
Anyway, we ordered the beef , pork belly , bibimbap and the intestine. Beef is 100% Recommanded , it served with the rice cake. Those rice cakes is very good. The skin is crispy and somehow even better than the beef 😂😂😂
The pork belly is frozen 🥶 and at first I am a bit disappointed. Then we find out it’s actually quite good. The fat and meat ratio is good.
The intestine’s portion is small and a bit overpriced.
Bibimbap is good and it is good portion for two people.
Will visit again just bare in mind I may see the...
Read moreStopped in on a rainy afternoon with some friends in search of some delicious Korean lunch. They’ve been here before and recommended it highly. I found that the food was a good quality: the soups especially. Great Korean is always hard to find in Hong Kong, but TST has quite a few spots that are worth hunting down. The samgyupsal could’ve been a bit sturdier, but the flavor was good. I also enjoyed the bounty of banchan.
The service was a bit clipped—they seemed frustrated at how much tea/water we were drinking and eventually just left the pot! 😅🤣
I’d stop by again when I’m in the neighborhood, though. Made...
