Towada Sushi 十和田總本店 — Restaurant in Kowloon

We went there at 12:15 lunch, not many people, order by tablet, toilets are clean. Overall A grade for the hygiene of the environment.

I ordered 豚肉生姜燒 and my friend ordered 䓤吞拿魚蓉飯. Portion is large, the set come with soup and 茶碗蒸蛋. However, the 茶碗蒸蛋 is over-steamed (see picture), the soup is not special, no ginger taste in the 生姜豚肉飯 as well as the sauce, I was chewing the pork slices a long time before swallow. The onion can cook much longer, as I love soft one.

The green tea powder has no green tea taste, it just like a green colour water.

Finally we paid $205 for two including 10% surcharge. Also I saw many people cannot finish the whole bowl of rice. If they want to have customer return, they should see...

Sat at the counter. Very cramped and we could not remove or turn off the ipad that is used to place orders. Very annoying eating while staring at the ipad screen. Need to make our own tea, the hot water took up more space. Ordered sashimi rice bowl. Most of the ingredients were ok but the sea urchin was off. I had one bite and a strong and unpleasant odor came up my nose. Even my friend smelt it when I talked. Felt nauseous for the rest of the day. I didnt finish the rest of the meal and immediately left. Told the staff and while paying the manager made up an excuse that it was the lid of the uni container and not the uni itself which was fresh. How does that help?! So now it’s not spoilt but dirty?? Lots of fake reviews for this restaurant!!

We ordered salmon sushi and crab & scallop rice bowl. Salmon are tasteless and not fresh. Sushi are served with brown rice which is not quite as expected.

The texture of the salmon, which we think is a good indicator for sushi restaurants, suggests that this restaurant is among the garbage level.

For the Crab meat & scallop rice bowl, crab meat are mixed with fake crab meat and the scallops are too soft. It was served with the same brown rice as the Salmon sushi.

Avoid this restaurant, you should go to somewhere more authentic.
