Taqueria La Catrina — Restaurant in Guatapé

WOW! Took almost 45 minutes for a Chimichanga and I was the only one there when I ordered.

A couple came in and placed their order 15 minutes after me and were served before me and almost finished all their food by the time I got mine.

Food was good. Service was friendly and my waiter apologized for the wait.

Bill was 38 000 I gave him 50 000. Thought this was a no brainer. Nope he has to run away downstairs for 3 mor minutes to bring me only 10 000 short 2000. But the point is bring me my change and why don't you have a basic cash float available? Plus I would have gladly left a tip but this time it wasn't deserved.

I honestly don't know what just happened. It pains me to leave a negative review as I only like to review my best experiences which this was not.

After reading the great reviews, we come here to eat dinner 2-3 weeks ago while visiting Guatape. Unfortunately, the experience was not good.

Everything took a very long time to come - food and drinks. We could hear the chef ringing the bell from upstairs about 5 different times over a 10 minute period, and the waitress did not go to check on the food, but continued to clean glasses and cutlery at the bar beside where we were sitting. This really did not look good from a customer perspective.

When our tacos arrived, the carnitas were cold, they had obviously been left sitting out for a long time. However we were so hungry that we ate them quickly and left. The service was also not good.

This might have been unusual for this place, but I wouldn't recommend it based on...
