Wow. I love places like this. Compared to the other restaurants in the main square that rely on themes or instagram worthy backdrops, this restaurant has a straightforward dining area with basic tables and chairs, but delivers in their food. Delicious, cheap, fast, juicy chicken. It’s a small restaurant and definitely not as commercialized as the other restaurants catering to tourists but it does the job. I don’t know how they got so much flavor on a simple rotisserie chicken, but it was probably my favorite dish in Santa Elena/Monteverde. And quite unexpected. Delicious rotisserie chicken, perfectly seasoned with crispy brown skin. You can get chicken to go or eat it there, it’s super laid back and no frills type of restaurant. You can also get gallo pinto with eggs and chicken in the morning, which is a very hefty meal at a great price for the area.
