I usually do not write bad reviews but there is absolutely no reason to be treated the way we did by the waiter at this restaurant and for a waiter to provide such poor service. I ordered my food, but then when my boyfriend went to order, he asked what has no Mayonnaise due to an allergy, he said nothing was possible, so my boyfriend said he would wait to order while I already ordered my meal. Over ten minutes later, he told my boyfriend “actually this does not have mayonnaise.” He then begun to process his meal order, and later only brought his order, although it was ten minutes after mine was ordered, because he didnt have time to explain the menu before. Regardless, it was not enjoyable for only one of us to eat by ourselves due to both his mistake on the menu, and forgetting my order. My boyfriend also ordered a beer to drink with his meal from the beginning, again, the waiter forgot, and didn’t bring it until we were ready to go home. We said we didn’t want it anymore, the point was to drink it with the menu. But he refused to take it off the bill, although it was his fault, and forced us to take it home with us. We would’ve never spent the money to take a beer home. It was meant to be enjoyed with the meal. Incredibly bad service I will not forget. Worst of all, we both became sick for many hours after eating the food and I was celebrating...
Read moreOtto and Frank, a renowned restaurant in the beautiful city of Zagreb, has always been a must-visit for my friend and me whenever we're in town. However, our recent visit was nothing short of a disaster.
We waited for 50 minutes just to receive a menu, and the table we were seated at was filthy beyond imagination. Despite requesting for the table to be cleaned three times, they cleaned it finally. The two young waiters, one famously curly-haired and the other tall, were extremely rude and didn't even greet us.
When our food finally arrived, we were interrupted during our second bite by the taller waiter, who brusquely informed us that this wasn't a fast food restaurant and it's totally ok to wait a lot. Ironically, the dishes we received—a mere salad and a slice of bread—felt like fast food. To add just another insult, other clients who arrived after us received their orders at least 20 minutes before we did.
The only redeeming aspect of this unpleasant experience was the main waitress. She apologized multiple times for her younger colleagues' behavior and genuinely tried to make amends. While we are grateful to her and her appearance, we will never visit or recommend Otto and Frank again. The young men working there would be better suited finding a new...
Read moreStopped by this lovely gem with great food. The tiramisu was to die for and the burgers were lovely. However, the younger server (slim and had curly hair) was very rude. I asked if we can have the food served the food across the street which belonged to the restaurant next door which only served drinks. The other restaurant was fine with it if Otto & Frank were so I had to ask. He grabbed the menu from my hand and told me I couldn't do it. I would understand but it was definitely not the way you answer a customer query. No hello, no sorry, but shooed me away. I don't know what it is perhaps he was very new.
However, his other colleague approached me AD asked if he could help with anything. I explained the situation and he offered us a table on the restaurant side and was totally cool with the drinks coming from Bonn, the restaurant next door. He turned the experience around and made sure we were looked after. I would give him 5 stars but not the younger waiter. He did not have any business in...
