Lovely food, however, our meal was unfortunately ruined by the extremely rude waiter. My friends and I were so impressed by the amazing service that we received for the entirety of the trip so this experience was all the more disappointing.

We were told (very rudely) right after ordering our food that we needed to stop saying thank you so much, which left an uncomfortable atmosphere for the duration of the meal. When ordering, the waiter decided to take it upon himself to guess that one of my friends was going to order chicken or bolognese because ā€œshe looks like that kind of girlā€ (we all ordered fish).

We ordered bread that never came but was still included on the bill. When we brought this up the waiter dismissed us and said that we should still pay the bill and he would bring out the value of the bread in cash. We were obviously not satisfied with this and asked for an accurate bill, after which he stormed back into the restaurant where we could hear him very obviously complaining about us to the chefs.

Overall it was a very disappointing experience, especially as it was a Friday night and there are so many lovely restaurants to choose from in Hvar. We received excellent service from every other restaurant we visited.

I would absolutely not recommend this restaurant and particularly if you are a group of...

We took a brief trip to Hvar from Vis, making our choice for restaurant brief. Fortunately, my family and I were already set on coming to Junior for the one and only meal we would be having in Hvar - with having been there three times in the past with great experiences!

Yet again, Junior did not fail to please!

Sitting by one of the many busy, narrow streets with shoppers passing us whilst we drank our refreshing white wine - trying to contain our eager anticipation for the feast to arrive!

To begin our Junior dining journey, we shared a starter of calamari and tomato soup, both bursting with flavor!

Shortly after we engulfed our starters, the mains arrived. The members of my table had: black ink pasta, seafood pasta and the platter of shrimps. All I can say is…wow! SO fresh and authentic in flavor. The food was beautiful, price was very reasonable, and portion size was generous - I rolled out of the restaurant with my full belly and black teeth from the black ink pasta!

Flavors so flabbergasting that I plan to go back to Hvar just to eat at Junior for the fifth...

My sisters and their husbands came here two weeks ago and raved about it, so we decided to come on our honeymoon. We dropped by earlier in the day to make a reservation, but they only accept them up to 7:30pm. We came around 8:45, and waited on the steps for maybe 20 minutes. You can order a drink while you wait too, and there’s lots of little boutiques on the street to look in. We split the fried calamari that was delicious with a tartar sauce. Then I ordered the mussels and pasta, and my husband ordered the shrimps bazar with pasta. He’s so frustrated with having to peel all the shrimp here so we’re still on the hunt for shrimp without peels šŸ˜‚ but both dishes were incredible. We split a bottle of white wine made from the grapes only grown on Hvar. I think our total was €100 euro for three plates, a bottle of €30 wine, and a bottle of still wine....

Good food for a fair price. - The black risotto with sepia was the best! Good flavor! Would order it again! - the spaghetti with sea fruit was good, maybe a bit dry. We expected something with a bit tomato sauce. - the octopus salad was lacking flavor, would not order it again - unfortunately they ran out of mussels, which we would have liked to order - the staff was friendly and attentive - location was nice, you could hear music from the big square as there was a little concert going on - we payed 280 for two glasses of wine and the three dishes
