ŠTIPEC — Restaurant in okres Plzeň-město

The food was outstanding no problems there whatsoever, the waitress that took my order was very polite and friendly, however when my starter arrived it was brought out by a different waitress, she arrived at the table and started to shout out the orders to us, as I’m English I couldn’t understand what she was saying so I picked up the menu to see what she was referring to, she began to shout aggressively at my friend and I, as this was a starter I’d ordered I didn’t know exactly what it was from the menu as it was in czech language, I thought I’d try it anyway. It turned out to be soup which the waitress in question shouted “SOUP SOUP SOUP” at me aggressively, and seemed very annoyed that I didn’t know exactly what it was. This ruined my evening which until then had been very enjoyable. I find it very rude that certain staff find it appropriate to act this way to customers. Unfortunately, I did hate it. The only thing I managed to enjoy was the bread. Maybe my expectations were too high, since the reviews were so good, or maybe it was one of those days. The minute we stepped into the restaurant and picked a table what we were welcomed with were the rolling eyes of a waitress who apparently didn't appreciate us picking a certain table for whatever the reason.. we went for potato pancakes which were okay-ish, however, semi-warm and I didn't like my choice, ok, happens. What I didn't choose and also didn't enjoy the waitresses being super loud and ignorant of the guests. We had to wait for like 20 minutes for our bill. Even when it was obvious we were finished with the food and I went outside tired of waiting around, my boyfriend was still being kept ignored because the service enjoyed playing with their smartphones more than interacting with their customers. Foods were great. Especially, the grilled carp that came with white sauce was the best. I can tell this was the best cuisine that I had had in this country. However, I experienced something weird towards the end of my meal. I was with my gf there. While she was going to toilet and back to our table, the waiter that took our order said something strange to her in Czech language. Upon he said something, his companies started laughing at her. Definitely, she couldn’t understand what he meant but she was able to feel he said something rude since the atmosphere can say this. Even that guy took our order in English well. Why did he start saying sth in his language? I believe that he would not have said these things in his language if he hadn’t had any...
